As someone who has watched every single one of these, I rate the main ones like this from most horrendous: "Strangers" (millennials)> Seniors > Teens The teens were mostly just annoying and majority of them had no good reason to get the money, while the seniors kicked out the ones who actually needed the money the most and the winners were overall very nasty. The millenials were literally just pure greed, hatred, and evil within the last 3 people. EDIT: there were 2 episodes w/ millennials, the worst is the very first one.

I'm with Ethan. I really don't think working 30-40 hours a week on top of school is healthy. It's just the capitalist lie that you HAVE to work as much as possible, all the time, no matter what, or else you're worthless. On top of that, college tuition as well as poverty also force many kids to work ridiculous hours. Kids at that age should be learning, exploring lots of different topics, hobbies, and figuring out what they're passionate about. Instead, many teens end up graduating college with literally no idea what they really want to do. Greatest country on Earth my ass.

Man, I was growing up eating potatoes and onions in ketchup because we were so broke. We couldn't pay the water for a long time so I had to shit in a bucket and get water and shower at a friend's house so my hair wasn't greasy at school. Still got hated on for wearing the same dirty clothes days in a row . AC broke at the house two summers in a row so we only had fans. This was all before the decrepit house caught fire and legit made us homeless. Even though this is truth, looking back it sounds so dramatic and exaggerated. I don't wish a hard adolescence on anyone, but I hope when they're older, they understand perspective.

Just because wealthy people live in a place doesn’t mean there’s not also people who struggle. In fact the class devide is best felt in metropolitan areas like LA and DC were the impoverished live so close to the affluent yet continue to live completely different lives.

I live in India and I feel so privileged after listening to everyone's stories, High school kids rarely work here(especially in cities) . To work and get a minimum wage, we need a basic degree which we only acquire after 18. So, it's highly unlikely for kids to work before that. Also our parents are expected to pay for our college fees and all dorm expenses and it's normal for us to stay with our parents even when we are 25. There's no pressure of moving out or anything at all.

It’s hard but having your first job in school is a rite of passage. You don’t make much because you’re not experienced or qualified, the hours are shit because you can’t work 9-5 being in school, you don’t get benefits because they assume you’re under your parents and you don’t work enough hours to qualify or the company needs you to pay out of your small pay cheque as is. It sucks because it’s a preview of the real world to motivate you to get a good education and good job and to push you to work hard. What’s the worst is working those jobs and then having to lay your entire pay down to rent and food with nothing left over; it’s a terrible life

I could talk to anyone of any age, I had bills to pay because my mom was a single mom and so I paid my own way which taught me discipline and how to be responsible with money. It also taught me the value of money. My two sisters lived with my dad so they didn’t have to work and he bought them each 2 cars after they both crashed their first cars. It took them a very long time to understand the value of money because they didn’t have to work for it and they had their lives paid for. I’m now 37 and I had a bad accident a few years ago that has left me permanently disabled. Because I worked for almost 20 years I get a social security check every month if I hadn’t started working so early I wouldn’t get a thing.

I just graduated from high school (class of 2021) and I feel like I was very privileged, I had a stay at home mom who supported me and did everything for me, my dad is one of the most hard working people I know and he took care of everything for us too. I’m not saying I was spoiled by any means but I’m just glad to come from a family of immigrant parents who could support us and give us a better life than what was available in their country. And for that reason, I would definitely use the money to buy a whole bunch of random material things and I find these kids to be very annoying cause I feel like they really want the same thing, not to fund their future or to use it for any sort of “good” cause, but they wanted to come off like they “needed” the money.

Can’t believe Ethan doesn’t think you can work full time in HS. It’s called you clock in after you get out of school. Two jobs? Under the table? If that’s what you have to do to survive you’ll 100% make it happen. My doubt would have stemmed much more from the fact that her hair and eyelashes look professionally done. But i could easily be wrong about that

I started to work full time and did school full time in high school. I went to school from 8am-3:30pm Monday - Friday and worked from 5pm - 2am Wednesday through Friday and Saturday and Sunday 8am - 8pm. I lived in Arizona, started at the age of 16. Made 7.50 an hour. Had to pay for all fees, clothes, food, outings, medical expenses, and transportation myself. My parents could only afford to pay rent, utilities car insurance and their debts. I was a B average student. No extra curricular after school, no clubs, no group of friends. Didn’t have the time. Definitely slamming and grinding for years. Taught me the value of money, hard work and determination early in life.

I always find it so crazy how kids in the US have to work and move out when they turn 18. I'm from the Philippines, and we go to school for like 9 hrs and do some extracurricular activities after school. Some kids go straight home, some hang out with friends. Parents usually pay for college/uni and other expenses. Some kids go to work part-time but not everyone. I feel like in America, you're just forced to grow up too fast. I went to college at 16 and I felt like I was too young to study for college and kids in America go to work at 16. I wish y'all are just allowed to be kids. :(

As much as I would've loved the extra time sleeping in I had no way to get to school so I just ended up being TA's for some teachers

@@Aerochalklate Who said anything about a dropshipping business? And unless you've seen his art, how do do you know his clothing company would've be shit? And any money towards college is a big deal. Your notion that $1K isn't that serious is subjective. And in my opinion she didn't deserve it, due to the fact that essentially her case was just trying to get to point A to Point B, not a convenient situation but nonetheless she could've stuck it out for one more year. And on a side note. You say "My level of thinking is STILL immature"? For there to be a STILL, there would've had to have been a before. And I'm sure I've never spoken to you before. But anyways, I'll digress. Your level of thinking and reasoning is irrational and based on pathos. It's all good though, give that prefrontal cortex of yours a few more years to develop and you'll be fine bud.

My last two years of HS I would get up at 5:30am, walk 20 minutes to get to the bus stop at 6:45am, school started at 7:15am, then when everyone else went to lunch I would take a bus to the community college 15 miles away for two hours of head start classes, then walk almost a mile to work a 4 hour shift. Add the bus ride home and I wouldn’t get home until around 7pm. Then I would work full 8 hour shifts on Sat and Sun. It was a nightmare.

Ethan really missed the point with Heather. She said she’s on her own financially so she has to buy her own ubers. So if she worked and had school the same day, she spent $40 minimum that day. Part time jobs dont pay well so it takes hours to earn that back on your check and then you have to work even more to make a profit. That shit adds up and it’s honestly annoying that no one in the crew or ethan himself realized that. I’ve had a job since I was sixteen. Full time school and 30-40 hrs of work always. It sucks and I feel for Heather.

In the UK it is common for working class secondary school students (16-18 yrs) to work part-time. School recommends no more than like 10 hours a week. I used to work 24 hours a week and my grades (for the most part) and mental health suffered a bit ngl. I'd work Friday sat and Sunday (8 hour shifts) but I was young and be too exhausted to study afterwards.
