The thing I love about Casey is that he doesn't need a pre-written script memorized to be able to speak with an audience in such an engaging way. If I had to talk for 25 minutes on a stage full of people, I'd probably talk about my entire life within 10 minutes.

@vickomf

+Abraham Esparza That's why he's last xD Unless you are the best public speaker with the brightest mind in the world to inspire and create a strong movement, everyone else should stick to the model of preparation. Even Martin Luther King wouldn't improvise his "I have a Dream Speech" to come off as an acceptable "lazy" guy, because that's what people project when they come on stage winging it. Sorry, not sorry.

I guess videos don't lie...
I've been watching Casey for about a month religiously. I've been extremely active on KZread for about year prior, and during that time I refused to watch Casey because I simply thought he was some generic vlogger that capitalized on YT's early success with a few cleverly timed cliche's.But, I then took Phillip Defranco's advise and watched one of his "movies", and after that I found myself watching his early YT videos and finding the vlogging playlist to start at number #1. Casey is bringing out the creative side of me that I buried half a decade ago. And has single handily became my biggest inspiration. I could meet the president and shake it off as no big deal, but if I met Casey I think I would be speechless. I think I admire his stride for efficiency and how he seems to sacrifice sleep to continue holding himself to such a high standard. I'm not sure if vlogging is in my future, I would love to, but what ever is I really hope I can find a standard for myself and hold it religiously. So yea, thanks for taking the time to do a Tedx talk my dude! Please keep doing you brother.

And yet every choice he made was a step down the path to where he is now. I think it's a testament to his drive (with a little luck thrown in for good measure). I've met a lot of people like him who didn't graduate highschool, never went to college, and yet went on to do things that many of us would envy. He saw his experiences as opportunities, rather than setbacks. While the rest of us are content riding the train, he decided he was going to be the one driving it.

It was because he was speaking and being recorded at the same time so because of the speaker his voice was amplified and the sound comes later than it should because it has to be amped and travel to the speaker so than the audio is delayed although he said it before hand. Also its because they did a stupid thing to record him speaking live instead of having him have a audio speaker and record it directly from his voice instead of from the speakers. Done

When you get yourself out of your bubble and being in a situation that is outside of your comfort zone, that is when you know if you can handle it or not. Usually people persevere through those situations because the cost of failing is unimaginable and the outcome is usually ultimate satisfaction.

Nothing beats actual work.
First time I've ever seen Casey nervous, the amount of times he said like.
At first when I could hear that the talk was not scripted I was worried but I agree that it is one of the best talks I have watched! It was also really cool to hear that Ben Stiller wanted to take out the add from the video at the end! :P
OMFG I DIDNT KNOW HE HAD A TED TALK!!

+cpdion you know now! :D
Just another reason on why I look up to Casey. He's inspired me to follow my dreams, and most importantly become a better person.
Such an inspiration, Literally motivates me.. I'm utterly speechless right now.
It simply amazes me that all those starving victims of the hurricane can actually be SMILING after having their homes destroyed, and I'm here bitching about slow internet or other first world problems. This video at the end nearly had me in tears, really puts things in perspective.
What's up with the distorted unprofessional audio? I'd expect more from you, Tedx Talks
just saw this vid now, in the last part which he gives relief goods to my countrymen.. thanks a lot Casey.. you inspired me a lot.

Yep
Cool, he followed his heart and he found success and happiness!
This made me cry more than I have cried in a long time.
Just amazing....so powerful....Here is your moment of Zen!!!!
WOW, Casey Neistat is an extraordinary human being! I like his personal story of overcoming obstacles in his life, having an optimistic mindset through it all, he's an eloquent public speaker, and he uses his spheres of influence to make a positive difference in the world like he did in the Philippines! The world needs more people like Casey Neistat! Thank you for being a blessing to all those Filipino people, Casey! You rock. 🎼🎸
Amazing Film Maker. a great man.

Hearing him talk about how he helped Tom with ASDF movie is heartwarming
Before he started vlogging.
Audio is terrible
An amazingly inspirational individual (in so many ways and on so many levels)!!
His not overhyping himself down to earth approach was really good.
