Zac Efron actually couldn’t hit some notes because the part was written for a high tenor voice . They mixed Drew ‘s and Zac’s singing

@@animegraveyard776 he had to know the lyrics as he sang them together with Drew and lip synced them in the movie. AND THIS IS ONLY HSM 1. HSM 2 and HSM3 were all purely Zac's songs and only Zac's voice and it is hella audible that it's actually his voice. So the reason he didnt remember them is because he wasnt an obsessed fan who rewatched the movies afterwards and it has been 14/13/11 yrs since they all came out. You can even forget your mother tongue if you dont use it let alone songs.

The reason that Drew Seeley voices a lot of HSM1 is because the songs were originally made for a tenor/ countertenor and they had already auditioned Seeley when they found Efron. They didn’t choose Seeley because he didn’t have as much chemistry with Vanessa Hudgens as Efron did, but the songs were too high for Efron.

Actually they both took place at the same set as the original HSM. They explained it in some of their interviews, they said that in the "plot" of the original hsm they said that the school is in new mexico but east high is actually in salt lake you can look it up in google

Ok, let’s see how many inaccuracies there are lol 1. Ricky didn’t rly join the production of HSM to impress Nini, he did it to try to win her back. 2. That’s not how you pronounce Bassett as many of the other comments have pointed out. 3. No Ricky isn’t a Jock, but he does spent a lot of time at a skatepark and on his skateboard. 4. Lol Ms. Darbus was a big character 5. But they both _are_ set and filmed at the same school 6. This isn’t a new version of the movies though 7. It’s not Dara as in car, it’s Dara as in dare 8. So you’re just going to forget that sharpay’s fabulous adventure exists? 9. So only Olivia and Joshua are good singers? The rest of the cast are very talented y’know
