Biggest difference between high school in movies vs high school in real life: the students in real life are in their actual teens instead of their mid to late twenties, and the students in movies are often doing things that would land a ton of people in prison and on some kind of registry for the rest of their lives, as if it's the most normal thing in the world.

It actually depends on how you look at high school. If you look at it in a good way then it will be better

That movie romance thing got me laughing so bad!

As a freshman currently with my high school experience so far there is no such thing as doing the stereotypical standing to a locker talking to a girl type of thing, there is no such thing as group of friends(you know the jocks,the nerds, the gang people) sure there may be people like these but they don’t just hang out in their own safe zone if you know what I’m saying, speaking of jocks/football players don’t think just because they wear that football jersey of the school it means they are the cool kids. Hell the majority are barely recognizable and plus they only wear those jerseys when they have a game in the afternoon unlike in the movies they always wear those varsity jackets. And finally if you want to be open to everyone being social. Join something or do something you have never done before. For example I tried wrestling this year and since it’s my first year of course I did not won a lot of matches but the amount of respect you gain from the upperclassmen is insane

It drives me absolutely *CRAZY* when teachers say that. Whenever they do, I'm just sitting there like "THEN WHAT THE HECK IS THE BELL FOR!?!"
