Coach just shook his head b/c he couldn’t believe how great that was. He was just blown away at such an amazing young man. That was one of the most mature speeches from a high school athlete that I have EVER seen.

Of course it's nice to win, but wins mean nothing if you can't have a positive impact on the players' lives. Mad respect to the coach Smith and Terrell.

RyanJS08 I wasn’t disagreeing with your whole point. The positive impact part I agree. The winning means nothing part I disagree. Both are important.

Venus Spacey Of course winning is important, but it doesn't mean everything. And my whole comment was based on the context of the video. They lost a big game, but the positive impact this coach had on the life of this player far outweighed anything they may have accomplished in the Win column.

RyanJS08 right. The kid garbage anyway. He only had hustle highlights lol. Glad the coach was impactful to his life off the court, cause he likely just played his last meaningful basketball game.

Today this kid was caught with marijuana at school. And the coach has been accused of having inappropriate relationships with female players in the late 90’s. What a role model. The kid messed up. He can recover if he is as mature as a lot of you believe him to be. Everyone makes mistakes, and he’s young. I wish him the best. But same sad story for a lot of kids around that way. And I know, I myself went to school there.
