Direct injection has been a bad thing for this generation GM. The need for a high pressure fuel pump and the gunk from not cleaning the intake ports (if you haven’t seen that video) kzread.info/dash/bejne/gaRm0LWBm9KqYbQ.htmlsi=D0tkUEYHNPATl0Y3

​You're so right, Danny! My girlfriend has the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport with the 2.4 and GDI. I did the intake cleaning once for her at 20,000 miles, but now she is Let It Go another 50,000 without a cleaning and it's starting to run rough and get poor mileage. I fear she may just be looking at an intake teardown. The best thing they ever did was go back to port and GDI combined IMHO. I'll definitely check out your second video I enjoy your content! I always appreciate someone who takes the time and effort to help other people.

What was the torque pattern for the intake manifold? I didnt see it in the description. Thanks.

Anyone know if all Yukons have this high preassure pump along with the fuel tank pump ? 2 pumps ? Or does this high preassure pump apply to flex fuel vehicles only ?

I believe all 2015+ Yukons will and are direct injection

I need diagnostics guidance to determine whether a no start condition is the low pressure or the high pressure pump?

@@dannyjohnsonsgarage all I found was a P12a8-00. Which is fuel pump related but it doesn't specifically point to which pump.

Just curious. Did you change oil after to. Im attempting this job tomorrow. Im seeing you should change oil after also.

I did, but I was also doing lifters. I would change it since fuel and other debris may get into the oil DOD AFM Delete Yukon, Tahoe, Silverado, Sierra, Escalade 6.2L & 5.3L Replace cam & lifters Part 1 kzread.info/dash/bejne/lYuV29uTd7G_gqw.html

How do you know if its going bad if vehicle is not throwing any codes.

Apparently if it leaks on the seal you can get fuel in the oil (hurts lubricating). The oil can smell like fuel. Mine was not bad, it was part of a larger repair that I did since I had 96,000 miles on it and removed it so put a new one on kzread.info/dash/bejne/lYuV29uTd7G_gqw.htmlsi=tMYkIfr4zNXzKvpT

I replaced mine while doing new lifters, but other have had codes for too much fuel if a seal leaks

Do all model engines have this high preassure fuel pump or is it flex fuel Yukons only ? Awesome video by the way

I believe all 2015+ because they are direct injection for the fuel.

Does the new fuel lines require any Sealant ?

It would probably be a good idea. I haven’t had leaks and it’s a ball fitting, but I’d say it’s a good idea as long as you don’t get sealant in the line
