Great film Dave. Some 20 years ago I bought a 28g from Avalon Guns to use on partridge. 32" barrels full and full. Kill or miss. Great little gun. Once I got used to it I took it out on some very good pheasants and was very surprised by what it could do. Now my favourite caliber. I believe I used to shoot clays alongside of you pal Desperate in Buckinghamshire. What a character. Thanks again and keep em coming.

Great Video, my first gun was a 28 ga. single shot Beretta which my father gave to me when I was nine. . My first hunt was a dove hunt only killed one dove but it was uphill ever since . Now Im 70 and have trained a son and grandsons how to shoot. I still have it and it has seen many of hunts.

As a matter of fact I took a few pheasants recently in Pennsylvania with a 28 gauge sbs. Great little caliber as you said. Almost impossible to get ammo here in the States with useful size shot at the moment. You really did look comfortable on that last drive. Thank you for sharing another great outing with us. Hope you're all doing well.

Top notch Dave. You really started to get in the groove with the Blaser; I especially liked the move at 7:41 where you pulled off of one incomer and went for a higher and wider crosser....well shot! Those 28's work really well on birds and clays within reasonable distances and I've always seen them to pattern well, something about a 'square load' with the height of the shot column in the shell in relation to the bore diameter which makes them efficient. It looked like a great day with some really good shooting and banter. Thanks for this one, take care and best regards as always, Ed.

Fuck sake haven't seen that hooligan since we shot together in Wales in the 80's, there was always 45 quid up for grabs on the first pidgeon shot to dismay of the keeper. Stichburn Aka Desperate bought one with him and tried to blag us saying he had just shot it !! He had a red G wagon with Carlos fandango wheels on it as I remember, bloody good shot and always a great craic sadly one of the biggest hooligans who organised the days has passed away two years ago Graham Knox or (Nocker) as he was fondly known. Never regretted spending that money great time spent with great people, Great video Dave thanks for bringing back fond memories Regards Pete.

Great video to watch Dave! Glad you enjoyed the 28. People often understate these smaller calibres but in reality they will kill just as well at reasonable ranges. I mostly shoot my 20 gauge on game days now but one lad used a 28 last weekend with 25g of 6 shot and to be honest the birds he killed where fantastic even at range. Keep up the good work Dave and let’s see a video with the 20 as well. I know your daughter loves shooting that calibre and in my opinion can compete with the 12 in many situations given the right cartridge and choke. I certainly do just as well with mine against the 12 gauge guys even on the ducks!

@@kellclark3252 Constructive criticism I have no problem with whatsoever- but as you said my films are boring you now and the others are better in your opinion- I will not change something that as only ever been requested by 3 or 4 people out of nearly 6 million viewers Shot cams are ok for clays and only at a certain distance, birds are different speeds different heights and different distances every bird is different on a different flight line no shot cam will ever replace natural instinct it will only serve to confuse- I do not profess to be a coach - I will though put my own thoughts on how I hit birds, I’ve already done a film that demonstrates lead in slow motion- as I’ve said before keep watching the others films if you think they can help you and you are learning something then I’m all for that!! But I won’t change my view on shot cams, have a great season young man, it was a great discussion 👌
