=== SYNOPSIS ===
High on Life is a first-person shooter game with elements of action-adventure and Metroidvania. Players are tasked with assassinating select targets, and must fight their way into the target's lair before facing the targets in a boss battle. Players utilize living alien weapons, including five living firearms known as “Gatlians” and a sentient knife. The firearms possess primary, alternate, and distinct “trick hole” firing modes that can be utilized in combat. The knife possesses an additional grappling capability that enables players to utilize zip lines to traverse the globe. Weapon specials can also be used to solve puzzles and get into certain areas. Players can acquire new abilities or upgrade their existing abilities by purchasing upgrades at shops or by finding them in chests. New Gatlians and other gear can help players reach previously untapped spots, like in a Metroidvania. In addition to combat, players encounter traversal and platforming sections, puzzles that can be resolved by utilizing the Gatlians' weapon abilities, and social zones where they can interact with non-player characters.
