How long is the tea ok for to stay in the bucket

I have had it there 5-6 months. But in the heat it can get pretty smelly. I like to use it up and make more since it is so easy.

Thank you so much for this video. How big of a bucket did you use to make the chicken manure water? Also, when you run out of liquid, can you add more water and keep using? If not, what do you do with the material after you have used up all the liquid?

Thank you! We used a 5 gallon bucket in this video. It was old good to sacrifice to stink. Lol Yes you can add more water maybe more manure and keep it going. It gets pretty stinky in the very hot time of year and breaks down faster. When we were done with that bucket we put the remains in the compost pile. Started again!

Thank you sooo much. I have 6 chickens I got in August, my 1st time doing this. I have a small coop I put sand in the coop section so I can remove the poop easily with a strainer. Below the coop there is a small run where I layer straw every couple of days. Every couple of months I can move the entire coop and run to a spot beside where the coop was previously and is when I can scoop up manure and bedding, which I can use with your compost chicken tea. All that being said, is there a use just for the manure on its own, which I scoop out of the coop daily?

Sounds like a nice system you have worked out. I pile the daily manure for compost. I have big piles as we have cattle but smaller operations usually use compost bins of many styles. They can be made from old pallets, barrels or purchased already made. Finances, time and the esthetics creates many styles of composting situations. Add to that your garden scraps, leaves, very small twigs, cardboard, newspaper, and so much more. After about a year use in in your garden or around flower beds. Chicken manure fresh is very hot and will burn plants so some composting really helps even for just a few months. Thank you for your comment and I hope that will help you.

Not sure, we had that bucket for about 5 months. In the heat it got pretty smelly so we used it up. It is so easy and pretty quick to make I think rotation is key.

Blue Miracle gro with pelletized gypsum is an excellent combination. Use the miracle gro at half dose. No smell attracting critters to dig in your garden.

Blue miracle grow is not organic is it? Bloody horrible salts. They work but I. Don't wanna eat it

I don't think Miracle Grow Blue is organic. But further investigations would be needed for me to actually be sure. I know I am not a fan of non organic fertilizers but if that is all one has it is better than not growing food. Sometime the soil is so depleted an artificial chemical fertilizer is needed.
