@@KyleMohanRacing wouldnt it be possible if an engine has peripheral ports with itb on each port and slightly modified stock ports with a custome intake manifold to fit. The throttle to the stock ports open normally but the itbs are delayed till 5000 rpm or so and then they start to open. Isnt that possible?and we get a pretty flat torque curve??
Ported so hard that it's now a 4 port lol so rad!

You do know we can press pause, don't you? ;) that's one tall exhaust port and long 3rd port. I see why power kept going up all the way to 10k rpm

Always Awesome work Kyle ! So center plate S4 13bt ? Front & Rear S5 N/A plates? Can a 4 port intake be used T2 or S6 ?

Yes on the plates. You would have to use an adapter or modify the intake to get it to bolt up, but I know people are Turbo charging 6 port blocks.
I have a mostly stock 1985 gsl-se. I’m curious on what my options are for opening up the intake?
How does lubrication work when off throttle while only premixing?
I have a 1987 gxl and I want to build it would it be worth porting out the front and rear plate or should I look for the turbo plates I’ve heard mixed reviews on what series parts can take more power

Is this built with turbo rotor housings or modified NA ones? I saw some prod rotor housings Mazdatrix was selling some years back where they were said to have had the NA exhaust inserts reworked over a mandrel, which is why I ask. Is there any reliability difference between the RB style 3-window bearings and the Renesis ones?

We did alot of testing with the turbo housings, was simpler. Rules stated we had to use 6port components in some years. So just depends on the build and ruled that year. In the end we modified and polished both turbo and na sleeves

Any dowels blocked off? Loop line modification? What is the end play set for this tight tolerance engine and what rotors?

Not to much. No dowl tricks, traditional oil setup, increased oil pressure, race bearings, polished and wpc. .oo15 to .oo25. End play. This one landed .oo20. Based on Mazdaspeed race specs and years of testing. 89 hi comp rotors, racing beat lightning and snap ring work. Ianetti seals. Re worked exhaust sleeves where the tricky part.
Can this porting be done on the SE?
Does "6 port" refer to the smaller ports under the main intake ports on the front and rear plates?

EFI is allowed but has to use stock intake manifold for the chassis.

Do you happen to remember at what flywheel hp the stock fuel injection stopped making power? What kind of power does an EP renesis make?

Not enough. I have a friend trying to run an 8 in EP - they lobbied SCCA to use the older engines.

@@mekilljoydammit yep. I think its legal now and is a simpleway to go. However I've got some reni tricks when someone is ready to experiment. There is potential there.

@@KyleMohanRacing The other problem with the 8 in EP is that nobody I've talked to has gotten one anywhere near minimum weight. Seems like it should be possible to be competitive, but they just aren't so far.
I'm looking into building a rallycross/short track dirt oval FB. What would ballpark cost be to replicate this setup? I've always ran v8s in the past. Want to change it up and be a lil different.

Yes. This is what I based the hybrid idea off. 6port 13b. But our limits where air flow and port timing. The hybrid renesis combo has more air volume without effecting port timing like a bridge or pp. So the idea is it will be better. We built a turbo version and it did work better than 6p turbos and was easily as efficient as a street port rew. 430hp at 14psi on 100 octane. Very basic setup. I believe a na combo will beat the 6p combo easily.
