Mr.J's El Monte was the thing on "Thursday Nights" it was good old times.

From oakland memories going to LA in the 90s to visit my cousins from El Monte. Good times . In my 40s and still listening to this music 🎶

Currently listening to this mix while cooking. My daughter is from 96 and my boy is from 2007. They both love it!!. On top of that a couple of my neighbors are ex big time DJ's from the 80's and 90's. They still throw down parties with this music!

I was born in 84, I remember my mom aunts and siblings playing this at a young age. Ever since then was hooked, my 3rd child 2nd daughter was born in 2011 and this is one of her favorite mixes on KZread. She will be 11 this year and wants to go to a freestyle concert for her birthday. The music gods really knew what they were doing when they created this type of music.

The year was 1994... City: Downey, California. I was 10 years old. My mom, 2 years after her divorce, and the beginning of a great career at Kaiser. (Still working there to this day) she’d be going out with her friends to Peppers, QCs, The Hop, Baby Does, and the House parties she would throw. I’d be playing Sega with my brother, and hearing all of these jams from outside our bedroom, playing loud in the living room accompanied with laughter, beers, dominoes, and nothing but good times. Although I never been to those clubs, I remember my mom saying she was going to this club or that club. Honorable memory mentions: KROQ Flashbacks, Santa Fe Springs swap meet on Friday nights, and the Zima drink. Great memories I have of the 90’s growing up as a kid. Molded me who I am to this day.

Well, As a DJ out of El Monte Back in The 80's I always wanted to see how the New Trend of the 80's Disco Music would be like. I was blown away, yup!! This Sure does take me back, Waaay Back, Back into Time.

I love being an 80's baby, I remember when my dad would be mixing on his turn table and he would play all the good jams fog machine and lights going in my living room and all my cousin and I would be dancing 😋

This is almost the exact mix I was looking for! Bought a CD at a Swap Meet near Norwalk in the late 90s. And that CD has been with us until 10 years ago when we moved and idk what happened to it. That was our happy CD for the whole family.

Shoot I remember my friends and I were the first ones , when The Safari Bar opened its doors. I'm just so grateful that I was there in the nightclubs when great music was around. Then my home boy DJ Tony G playing at house parties Monte Boys.

Brought back memories. Yvonne Valenzuela and Jenifer Zubiate and a bunch of us, we were Too Tuff Productions. We partied with O’Baby’O and a bunch of other DJ’S. Had the time of my life. These were the best of times. All the flyers and parties and cruising and teased hair with Aqua Net.

Great memories ! Cruising Hollywood and Sunset with the slammed Bugs,Pintos and Mini trucks checking out the fine babes..😉

I had a fun time dancing to this music at Hollywood Tropicana & Ginos Club in the 80's.
