Thanks for the video. Seems like everyone is only showing the loudspeakers presented at Munich, not the headphones. Appriciate that your video is different. The Camerton Binom-ER 12:46 I had here for a few days to test them. At first glance they seem to be lacking higher frequencies (I compared it to my Sennheiser HD800s) - BUT, it's all there. Just slightly reduced in the upper frequencies (3-5k), so they're ideal for longer listening sessions. Bass (which the Sennheiser is lacking) and especially midrange are just awesome. Instruments and especially vocals sound so natural. Do you know @ConvinceMeAudio ? Thanks GREQ, enjoyable tour. I think you missed a couple ones, namely ESD Acoustic Kirin (yeah same company that did those big ass 800k speakers) and Mini Shangri La from Hifiman. Also you got me excited for X8000 even tho it's out of my budget.

Oh damn... yeah, I totally missed that one (Kirin) The Hifiman stand was pretty sparse, I didn't see anything resembling a e-stat :/ I know Audeze had the problem of their CRBN being stuck in customs, I was really disappointed about that, I really wanted to hear it. I wonder if Hifiman had a similar problem...

@@GREQReviews Don't quote me on that but i've seen a couple people claiming they heard it at munich (and rave about it) so i'm not sure where it was or if it was a behind the door kind of listen... I feel like 2024 is pretty exciting for electrostat enjoyers, i see a lot of new stuff coming. Have you seen or heard about the prototype (amp) from Feliks ?

@@random-internet-dude I have not heard about the Feliks prototype. I've only just recently (this year) got into e-stats, and they're quickly taking over as my reference listening gear. (RR1 Conquest and SR-Lambda NB) After hearing the X9000, HE1 and Perun I'm solidly two-feet in camp-e-stat. Looking forward to see what the future holds :)

@random-internet-dude oh yeah, I think between RR1 and SR-X1 there is no competition, although the Stax is conventionally more comfortable and lighter.

The Perun Rock if I recall has a dedicated bass section in it.

Do Bursons typically have 'interesting' interactions with planars specifically? I don't have much experience with these amps.

HE1000se, Susvara, Abyss 1266... or perhaps something else - which was your favourite planar headphone? :-)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm that's not an easy question :P • Susvara was the most e-stat-like; while it did have great ethereal transients, I couldn't listen to it properly in this environment, so I couldn't rate it highly at that time. • Abyss 1266 was exceptionally clear but I couldn't ignore the excess weight on my head. • Which reminds me of the Ezertech Charybdis which also gave a VERY big feeling of sound, but was also too damn heavy. • HE1000se still had something quite 'average' about it's overall presentation that didn't let it stand out so much. I think my top pick would have to be the Audeze LCD-5 with it's truly outstanding bass texture. That one really gave me the strong feeling of something I have not heard before from a planar. Which also surprised me, since I've been quite lukewarm and even hateful over many of their other models. Honourable mention goes to the Prototype Final X8000 - I couldn't believe the authority and scale of sound from such a small and lightweight planar. That one had the biggest 'wow factor' for me from the whole day.

Why audio technica why with the stupid presentation??? The Final X8000 looks super interesting though and probably the best looking of the video. Im still curious why exactly X9000 sounds worse with a Blue Hawaii than the T8000?

The ATH stand was just to look good. Very sad. X8000 is a beast. Really excited to see the final headphone. X9000 could well have been fed some bad music... it sounded WAY better on another Blue Hawaii later on at a different stand alongside a Perun e-stat.
