Very pretty mirror great project. Thanks for sharing ❤ DT does carry real wood signs. You are using a kind of MDF particle board and cannot hold up in moisture without being treated with a very hard seal.

Yes, I agree! For wood palettes that will hold up better over time, I prefer to go to my local hardware and lumber store. 😊

@@CreaTvDIY really im wondering when they started calling particle board “wood”. Over the last few years DT replaced real wood signs with cardboard signs and the plastic items have become paper thin. They are giving less and less for more money. Since you called it wood I wondered if you knew the difference. Not just you. Many crafter on SM are calling DT cardboard signs wood signs.

Thanks for pointing out the difference. Yes, I definitely know the difference but it's often easier to say "wood" as people are mor familiar with wood. With that said, the "wood" at DT of course is not the highest quality and of course the sizes are pretty small. For real wood and for larger and thicker sizes, I would recommend going to your local hardware store. But for small DIY craft projects, the "wood" pieces that DT offers is sufficient and definitely easy to craft with.

Thank you! Yes, a hot knife can be used as well ... Just get it hot enough to score where you want the spoon to break off and then once it's scored, use your fingers to snap off the end. Good luck! 😊

Thanks! All the materials are from Dollar Tree ($1.25USD per item): 3 wood palettes + 8 packs of silver plastic spoons + 1 pack of large popsicle sticks + 1 picture frame = $16.50USD (I already had the paint, glue, glitter, and paint brushes but those can also be purchased from Dollar Tree for $1.25USD each). This project took longer than my usual because of the size of the mirror so I worked on it over the course of 3 days in between daily life. I hope that helps. 😊
