As a beginner, you should learn Photoshop tools and concepts by doing Photoshop tutorials. In time you will understand what you saw and what was done. This is my advice to you.

For those that are asking what the author is doing and complaining that the video is too fast, I´ll explain: 1 - Author uses pen tool to separate jewelry from background and the gold part. 2 - Author creates a backup copy of the original 3 - Author uses 99% of the video time using mixer brush tool to "smudge" colors and blend them, getting rid of the texture and reflections of the gold part. Think it as if you smudge a pencil painting with your finger.

How useless is this video?!! Everything moves so fast that we can't tell what tools you use. Why don't you put on a commentary and help us lesser mortals out. This is not in anyway instructive. How sad. ☹️
