The level of epicness is as high as in old LOTR movies. During several shorts scenes, Imrik and Minaithnir showcase was even more spectacular than Daenerys and Drogon performance in GOT season 7.

My pc crashes only thinking about doing a battle as huge as that. Glorious 🖤

Considering how "onesided" most of the videos are.. I'd say yes. I don't think he ever advertised these battles as "test of strengths".. they're just for the cinematic glory of bloodshed.

That was poor play from whoever controlled the elves. This was an easy win for them. Units brought into the battle way too soon. Archers just standing there as the enemy charged. Taking a dragon that can literally fly untouched from above and drop fire and landing it in the middle of the enemy. It’s like they were programmed to lose.

In such cinematics I recommend removing or stortening arrow trails.

This REALLY highlights one of the main issues I have with these games. I hate how silent armies are sometimes. The elves I get but, the Chaos Warriors especially should sound like a cacophony shouts and grunts. Not unlike an army of doodbro gym douches that're all hopped up on some impressive drugs.

The chaos marauders do that a lot I think ^^ It honestly makes sense that a being thats slowly becoming possessed/a demon doesn't have a lot to say/need to taunt tbh. Like the Intimidation factor the roman legions used to have when approaching the enemy in silence

It's always a good day when GameThumb posts a video! As a long time fan of Elric of Melnibone, it cools my head to see Chaos in a battle. This one looked massive, even bigger than your battle between the Greenskins and the High Elves. Definitely bigger than your video where the Lizardmen fought the Dark Elves, although that one is still my favorite. I loved the camera angles you used here and the choreography was marvelous, especially that last shot which was wonderfully foreboding. Overall, I feel like you did an amazing job recapturing the first time I watched the Battle of Helm's Deep, that's some serious talent. Keep up the good work, GameThumb!

funny how the elves archer just stop throw arrow and watch enemy charge them without any reaction. The blue drake literally fly, land, then fly again, then land again and go for a litle walk XD . Yes its a cinematic battle but when i see ork giant unit or tombs king archer, they are more fluid

It that what I loved seen and hearing, the high ELFES vs all of creatures of the gamethumb world, fantastic to fellow exceptional movies game fine prepared. Good work and luck. Thanks

The Ruinous Powers were pleased with this battle. Slaanesh will grow fat on Elven souls, Khorne will reap his bounty of Skulls and Blood, Tzeentch will work his mutagenic magic as the winds of Chaos wax, and the Rot Father will brew ever more plagues with which to choke the lands and spread his generous gifts. GLORY TO CHAOS!.

They are actually incredibly hard to beat, I saw no swordmasters of hoeth or white lions of chrace and the whole front line was all spearmen, the Lothern sea gaurds are OP because they can effeftively double your number of archers while also being a good anti large defense and very capable in melee, my strategy is always front line of Swordmasters, Phoenix guard, and white lions with the second and third lines being sea gaurd and archers respectively, as soon as the front line of elite infantry waver switch the seaguards to melee and you'll always win a turtle, this fight was a little one sided on the chaos side. High elves probably have the most competent/broad array of missile units second to the wood elves. IMHO.

@@Blackopsundead I am actually impressed of how the chaos ate so much proyectiles (from archer with armor piercing) head on and didn't break down, maybe in order to make the battle as cinematic as possible they deactivated the leader ship penalizations, because the chaos lost 3 or 4 heores, a lot of monster and the chaos halberdiers had no defense (except for their armor) from protectiles in a real match (at least among noobs who don't micro their troop properly) the elfs would have the game in the bag with that insane amount of proyectiles, also even for cinematic porpuses, the calvary was managed painfully poorly even against the chaos halberdiers they could have do a great job if they circle charge them, taking in consideration that they had its backs exposed.

Next time you do a High elf battle give them atleast some of their elite infantry and drop the spearmen for Sea Guards and they'll win every time. High elves have some of the most strongest/competent missile units in game.

The constant arrow fire is the elves best wepon here.

All this does is make me think that with my triple regen sword of khaine tyrion, that the legendary chaos invasion is going to be rather a cake walk.

Not the best strategy, but it was very cinematic!!!
