    No my logic isn't flawed. Intermittent sources of energy needs gas turbines to stabilise because they can turn on and off quickly. And batteries are too expensive for the task.@@greekgodx6560

    Yes they exist for that specific use. They are called LM units (Land & Marine) The one in this video is called Heavy Duty gas turbine (HDGT) producing some 500 MW or so, it is a way too big.

    And add a Sterling engine on the exhaust heat exchanger and you can increase efficiency even greater...just use several step system and it could possibly push 85% efficiency. Then mix in an HHO fuel system and your reducing things further...why can't that be done these days.

    @Aleksas S steam is only about a 24% efficiency...what I'm talking about is in addition to the steam system...a sterling engine can use melting ice to generate electricity...all it needs is changing temperature from hot to cold or cold to hot.

  • @MrSunrise-

    @MrSunrise-

    6 жыл бұрын

    Wrong question, Cowboy. The stated 62.22% efficiency in the video is for combined cycle, which is burning something to spin a shaft, and then using the exhaust to boil water to spin a shaft.

  • @justinbiggs1005

    @justinbiggs1005

    Obviously burning something to spin a shaft because this turbine not only generates direct power but also uses it's exhaust gases to boil water to spin steam turbines that also create power.
