the artifacts/glitch at 7:40 while you were talking about undervolting was a nice touch.
Just want to say how refreshing for me it was to find this channel. Someone who knows what he's talking about, great content and production quality, to the point, no stupid thumbnails or clickbait video titles like so many others etc. Keep up the good work!
I hope you grow even more than you have in this last year. one of THE best quality videos on one of THe MOST consistent channels, thank you for all the videos, and keep up the PC builds.
I clicked on this video thinking it was about an external gpu enclosure. It's shocking that that's a complete system! Nice vid :)

It's been a while since I last watched something this satisfying in a tech channel. I guess i'm small form factor enthousiast, and you sir are doing small ff better than anyone out there :)
amazing video! Could be awesome to see the Db levels in each graphic too.
it works! just by reversing the air direction on bottom fan made my setup -4°C cooler! Thanks!!
Awesome video. And custom loop both!
Excellent video and top quality as always.
Did exactly the same thing on my Ghost S1, runs quiet and cool like a charm

@@zqott7954 In the Ghost I have an i7 8700, air cooled w/ Noctua NH-L12 and a MSi 1060 GX, two M.2 NVME, the SF450W psu from corsair - all left as-is. Born as a travel build so water was no option.
Just built my first SFX PC. Fan noise and gpu thermal was giving me a headache. This guide saved me!! Thank you
Great vid :) I honestly think that the RTX FE is the best looking card. The design is beautiful.
Great video as always. Quality is top notch. This was exactly what I was looking for, I am doing the medium tophat with 2 120s, if it ever shows up from my order in October...

You did it! Thanks for making this video!
Really enjoying these vids! I want to do a small gaming build but do not have the budget of the corsair one! These seem like my next best option! Thanks!!
Again thank you for all the hard work and your focus on SFF! My vote is to do the custom loop in --- "Why can't we have both?" Cheers.
I recently completed a custom loop in my Ghost S1 and would love to see you do one too. Interesting video with negative pressure, I always felt the biggest thing missing from the Dan A4-SFX was top exhaust fans.
Dude some of the best material your produce are these SFF builds and review. Loving everyone of these vids. keep it going, great job.
Beautiful video!
My 1080 in the NCase runs at 42° under load... But with an external MoRa tucked under my desk :D Nice video though my man! You were the one to bring me to the Ncase and I can't be happier!
Such a beautiful case.
Thanks KZread recommendation 😄
You can put the Accelero III on the 2080Ti inside your Ncase M1 and get pretty decent temperatures (especially coupled with your undervolt).
Great content! Please do the NCASE M1!
I’ve just wondering, does hybrid cooling card able to fit in this case with top hat installed? They way I see, GPU is way much even hotter than CPU
Really good channel man. Hello from France :)
I have the exact same M1 build as you. If I switched to the ghost would you recommend changing to an air cooler for cpu or getting the bigger top hat and running the aio as exhaust?
I click Optimum Tech, I enjoy.
Hey Ali, how did you get the black front button? was that something you did by swapping from your old Ash black unit?
Beautiful 😍 build...I need one bad SMH 🙄... great job on the videos
Very nice build.
It’s amazing how much engineering must go into these cases cramming as much support for components into such a small space, that is solely why I prefer SFF over standard ATX.
Nice build! I wonder in a build with 2 L-TopHats (ie one would be a bottom-hat actually), so that both CPU & GPU are water-cooled so that each Hat would have a 240 radiator & 2x120 fans, which would be better: A) both hats' fans blow UP-wards (assuming to work in synergy with air convection) - ie bottom fans would blow IN the case; B) both hats' fans blow OUT-wards (creating negative pressure inside the case so that it sucks air from the sides, instead of the bottom) - ie bottom fans would blow DOWN in the case NOTE: consider that in such build the rest of motherboard components would need ventilation, so there're 3 basic cases there I think: 1) in the above case A, there should be general upward air flow thru the case assuming it would be enough to cool down MoBo - would it? 2) in the above case B, the case would suck air from the sides, because of the negative air-pressure, so would that be enough to cool down MoBo? 3) if both above cases are not good enough perhaps sticking couple of small & low-profile fans (like for example NF-A4x10 fans) to the side of the case directly over the hottest areas of the MoBo? I guess the last case would work better with the case B ie working in synergy with the negative flow?
Been waiting so long to get my Ghost, Louqe have got to get their shit together. So far theyve taken my money and given me hopes and prayers.

Did you get it?
Great Video´s! Would you recommend the same setup if you have a Kraken x52 on the top?
Would love to see a full custom loop in the M1, I think it has the most potential of the 2 because of the space to side mount a 240mm rad + slim 240mm at the bottom. The challenge is the pump and res ofcourse.
Noice Video , thanks for upload on SFF
Why did you use a 15mm fan instead of a 25mm one in the bottom? Is there incopatibility when setting it to pull air outside?
Have you tried using a NF a9 fan in the NH l12 rather than the NF b9? I picked up a second hand NH l12 without any fans and trying to figure out if there will be any benefit in using the a9 rather than b9?
Hi Optimum Tech, I don't exactly understand what you mean regarding the bottom fan between the 03-05 minute of the video. As I don't have a tophat and can really only tinker with either a bottom fan in the fan/harddisk slot in the bottom of the case and a better CPU cooler. Would it be worse or better in regards to noise level and tempts to put in a bottom noctua slim fan in the case on exhaust or not? You mentioned that "switching the fan to exhaust won't help either, unless you have a slim fan grill"? Hope you can clarify :) kind regards
Hey man - quick question about the fans in the medium top hat. Does your top grill sit flush with the rubber fan corners on the noctua? If I leave the rubber corners on, my top grill will not sit quite flush. I tried flipping the mounting bracket over and still not quite enough clearance.. Works if I remove the rubber.. But I prefer to keep it and in your vid it looks like you kept them on.
Would using the larger top hat and the AIO on exhaust with the bottom exhaust fan achieve the same GPU temps? While lowering CPU temperatures too.
I’m confused about which side up I should have my fan in the bottom, should it be blowing air through the top or out of the bottom?
How long did it take you to do custom cabling for this setup?
Would you use the bottom exhaust fan if you use a large top hat with a 240mm rad? If you use a 240mm rad, would you use the fans on top or bottom of the rad? Thanks!
Did you try it with just the two top fans but without the bottom fan installed?
The case sits too low...raising it would improve the temps by couple of degrees, I bet. But yeah, the negative pressure is underrated or even seen as something...negative (heh), but it gives excellent results in some cases, especially small ones (and even in some "regular" ones like NZXT H500)...

He had 3D printed feet to rise the Ncase up by a few cm :)
Could you consider trying this exact same airflow set up question except using the 15 mm slim knock to her fans on the top? And using the smaller top hat as well?
Can you do a detailed 645 installation guide on the new version of the dan case? Also testing if that new fan mount under the mobo is worth using?
will adding the bottom fan also help with CPU thermals on an AIO?
I like your setup, but how would air be pulled from the side GPU panel via negative pressure if the GPU is exhausting air directly into that panel gap? I think it's more likely that most of the fresh air would only be coming from the CPU side and everything else would be exhaust. What do you think?
Interesting to see that the Ghost actually matches the Ncase temps. Would have expected it to be louder though, due to the smaller cpu cooler.
Have you considered trying to install the Accelero on the 2080ti for use in the NCase? The PCB doesn’t seem that much different from other versions
Does it matter which way the CPU heatsink is mounted? Horizontally or vertically? I wonder, if the fins are stacking vertically, air can exhaust better?
@OptimumTech, I'm currently building my S1 batch 4 and was able to get a full sized 120mm corsair ML series fan below the PSU running in exhaust mode. Using a corsair platinum PSU with the premium cables, all it took was some clever cable management but I definitely have somewhere between .05cm and 1 cm clearance with the fan spinning unimpeded. Just a note for those looking at this build. I will running the 3900x with a noctua L12 (discontinued version) and a 2070 super FE. I'm hoping thermals with this slightly less powerful card will be good with just the 1 fan. Otherwise I'll be getting that medium top hat.
what cpu do you use? Do you think it's possible for this case to handle a Ryzen 9 3950x?
Not sure if the 2080Ti is compatible, but what about attaching the G12 to it with a 120mm aio? I think that should still fit in the Ghost S1 or the Ncase M1 and should probably help with the thermals for sure? Like I said not sure if the 2080TI is compatible but might be something worth looking into?
top and bottom exhaust does mean that the air gets pushed downwards at the bottom and upwards at the top right?
Is there a 12L or lower case that has good temps? my ambient temp is 34-40c so most of the builds i have seen would reach 90+c which is crazy on the long term.
Would using a blower style cooler alleviate the heat issue you described?
What about medium tophat with 2 fans mounted at the bottom (asshat) as air intake? I would like to know the difference.
can not wait to see what you do with the new ryzen chips and x570 micro atx boards when they hit.
Compared to water cooling is this a optimal setup for the 3800x with the two fans? Or would it need water cooling...I don’t plan on overclocking or anything
Oh God pls do a custom loop in the ghost. I am getting ready to do my build and would love to see a good example.
Good job!
would you recommend the medium top hat or the slim one? assuming for air cool.
What happens with a second medium tophat on the bottom instead if the bottom mounted slim?
thanks to you i bought this one.

Hey Ali! Are you going to review the Model O?
nice vid man! cool! i have a Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L, and one damn fan made an almost 10C difference in CPU temps. Even though this case is almost all hols, there was a big heat accumulation right above the CPU (you could feel it if you put your hand over that area) and with one (more) fan in the back pulling out the hot air, CPU dropped almost 10C. Before this i had only 2 frontal fans (120mm Noctua). GPU still sits at 70C though, now and then...70C constant...maybe it's because it's a mini gtx 1060.
Dang your place looks nice af
this only works cause of the founder edition card being a blower type right? Sucking air through the gfx blades and exhausting on the side of the card (which becomes too positioned ) this further enhancing the air flow with medium hat with exhausting fans.
Has anyone tried this setup, but instead of installing 2 x 120mm fans you install 1x120mm fan above the cpu and a 3.5 inch drive? Wondering how much worse the thermals might be in this configuration.
Deff the Ncase M1. It would be more challenging sure but would have a lower foot print and would be way more satisfying at the end.
how do you prevent cables from hitting the bottom slim fan on exhaust?
Nice. I did a 1080 8600k in a sugo sg13. Fit a h60i with a second fan too. With noctuas the cpu oc at 4ghz never tops 60. The gpu +125mhz hits 73 with demciflex filter on the intake side. 65 without. Ambients 20.
Water cooling in the ghost S1 would be really intresting!
Maybe you can mod the case. Cut open the front cover and add one more intake fan for fresh cool air, you can also add rise up the case a bit so the intake bottom fan can pull cooler air from the bottom. Also one last thing, maybe consider HDPlex PSU? Just for consideration, I haven't though about the power requirement though
so the airflow is going from the bottom to the top outsides right? my english is not the best. This is a better airflow then from the front to the back?
Could you check out the MSI GTX 2080 Ventus V2? Its one of the few 2080's that could fit in the Ghost S1 or Dan A4 but its heatsink fins are set up in an unorthodox direction. Wondering if that would impact cooling alot in a small case
Great video as always, but my question is... What chair is that?! Looks great. :)
+1 for custom cooling in the Ghost
My only problem with negative pressure is that the small openings of the case get stuck with dust over time...
Sorry, I am kind of confused by what you meant with ”the bottom fan running in exhaust isn’t going to work you less you can find a fan grill to fit in that tiny square”. Did you meant that it might be easy for cable to be caught in the bottom fan if it's running in exhaust? Thanks!
@Optimum Tech do you think that a "tophat exhaust + bottom tophat exhaust" setup would be an even better cooling solution than your "Bottom Exhaust Slim + Tophat Exhaust" setup ?
In this setup, how many 3.5hdd and or 2.5ssd able to fit?
Nice man, but i cannot see, what cpu cooler this exactly is? with the Noctua under the cooler.
What was your cpu temperature on this air configuration?
please do the custom loop in the Ghost. I absolutely love this case.
could you say the exact length size of your custom cable for ghost s1 case?
7:12 That sound tho
I just finished my build in the S1. I got 2 AIO in my 1080ti on a kraken g12 bracket works great never tops 48 C at full load.
