Both of these are good choice if you like planars. Cheaper S12 sounds very similar with right foam tips and dec/amp.
I had S12 and S12Pro (this is S12 + a piece of foam rubber, which is better to remove immediately ). The main drawback of the 12s is the retracted vocals against the background of a surge in the region of 7-9K (in the same acoustic guitars you can hardly hear the soundboard, but there is a lot of squealing of the strings). Because of this, involvement is lost - even the cheaper Warrior 2 plays the middle more lively/interesting. But MP145 clearly has noticeable problems with bass. By the way, on the S12 I used only the narrowest-hole Final tips (with a hole less than 4 mm) - this somehow tamed the frantic brightness at high frequencies.

Thanks for your obeservation. With s12 I got love and hate moments.. Only works with Tinhifi white foam tips and some dac/smo with bass boost like Fiio q1.
damn hidizs have more resolution and also good resolution, what next upgrade with tonal mp145?
I like more the S12…for my taste
The S12 pro is much better. I have the NICEHCK F1 pro which is cheaper version of the S12 pro and the Artti T10 which is the smoother version. I like both.
Fudu is the lite version than mp145
MP145 definitely clearer sound
