Thanks again Juan! Finally got to this, with an 8” Rockville which is all that was needed for me. Video very very very helpful. Side note, 2019 Soul, radio wire colors were different however quick test with a spare speaker confirmed pin outs were the same! Thx again!

Update on this. Actually ordered and installed my sub. Wound up running all of the cables under the carpet for a super clean installation. Thanks so much for the video, it was a huge help in getting the confidence to just do the install!

My lx needs an upgrade as well haha! Trying to not spend to much for someone to do it for me, but unfortunately it’s looking like I may have to take that route.

The wire colors you tapped were brown yellow tan and orange?

I stick velcro to the bottom of the amp and I also do that for my sub so that it doesnt slide around

I have a question for you my friend what did you do with the blue cable ? I bought one of those subwoofer but i don't know where to connect it , these is going to be my first time connection a speaker, thank you in advance

So I have a 2021 kia soul and I'm going to be taking out my factory door speakers and replacing the can I run a remote wire from my fuse panel to the back of my amplifiers instead of pulling the radio out I'm going to be running a 4 channel amplifier on my door speakers and a mono block amplifier on my subwoofer but the amplifiers are going to be in the back? And am I'm going to need to rca converters to hook up both amplifiers

Why don't you use the power wire what did you do with it

I ended up chasing the dragon and getting new speakers and a headunit too. I no longer have the Soul and I still miss how good it sounded in the end compared to the Bose system I have in my current car! I'm still diggin' it! Small and out of the way but still gives me a much better experience than the stock setup. I've since swapped out the speakers on the doors and changed to a new head unit but I think for 99% of people adding the sub is going to be enough.

Im gonna put hook side of velcro on the bottom, it shouldn't slide

Nice video dude. What did you do with the remote wire? Just tuck it and hide it?

That's pretty much what I did for this install. I did eventually use it after I changed my headunit though.

Nope, but since I was rewiring a lot with my new Head Unit install anyway, I switched it over.

To be clear, is the air duct under the passenger side now removed and partially/fully obstructed by the amp/speaker?

I installed everything but am not getting a blue light on the unit or any sound.. I tested the output plugs on the wiring harness ( on the plug going into the sun) and they read 12v. Any ideas?

Nothing immediately jumping out at me. I'd try getting in touch with their tech support to see if it's something solvable. Worst case, the sub unit is a dud and it'll need replacement.

Does this year not have air vents under the seat?

It does, i just removed the duct to fit the sub in there

Correct, the reason for removing the duct was simply to make space.

Did you connect the brown wire, to the white and black or just white?

How many watts is the stock radio / speaker set up?
