Looks like the kind I have for my rabbits.

For my nesting boxes I used milk crates. Easy to clean , enough space and I can turn them over for hide boxes as well..

Thank you for watching. I didn't have a hinge or I would've made a 2nd door.

18"×11" is an alright size for 2 does/bucks? I've got new zealand and chinchilla. Also what do you do when does are kindling pretty close together? Add nesting boxes on top of the hide box? Won't it be a little cramped? I got 2 first time pregnant does so they're in the garage til the kits grow a little more (litters of 9 and 13). They'll be in 60"×24"× 30" cages.

Each Doe should have her own nesting box -we have free builds and dimensions on our website therabbitrycenter.com Remove the hide box and a 29 and replace it with a nesting box mama will be fine. Can I make a 2 way entry with the swinging doors? Also how do you keep rabbits warm in the winter. And how did you make 2 rabbits live together in the same cage?

Absolutely they will need to constantly chew to prevent over grown teeth so they can chew on it. So it provides stress relief and healthy teeth

What size tile slabs are you using for your resting mat?

I use different sizes- summer 6”x12”, 12”x12” marble tile, winter time 10”x10 plywood 1/2” thick

Like the video but lost audio about 6:55 into the video, but came back at about 8:45

This happens about 1% of the time it's so aggravating because there's nothing I can do -I lost that video in a hard drive crash

Yea sorry about that there was a bit of audio that was captured in the back ground and the copy right owner didn't like me using it in the video so I sadly had to cut the audio or remove the video. It does come back 8:44. Thanks for asking

I have a question I just got rabbits last may and they were like 2 months old when I got them from a freind I have 4 - male and 3 female they all get along and everything just woundering how would you tell when they mate

@@rauchoutdoors9447 When colony raising its easy to miss it because the breeding only takes a few seconds. It makes it almost impossible to control the breeding and timing. Does will bury their nest underground and you may not even know the breeding has taken place. Until one day on her way to the feeder, your Momma rabbit is getting followed by a litter of smaller rabbits.

Ha Ha. I make an effort to use tools that make the job easier and the nailgun is one of my favorites. But if you don't have one a hammer will do. But I feel like a pilgrim when I do.

Your sound cut out just before you cut the door and only came back for the very end.

yea it's a bummer we got a copy right strike and had to save the video with some audio on a short list. Sorry about that. It wasn't originally like that.

I personally can’t stand cedar unless you’re building a bat house or trimming out the house it will split over a short period and you have to polyurethane it or at least paint it to seal it

The chemicals are not good for rabbits It’s best to not use treated lumber I use pine or untreated common board

Why are your rabbits in small cages? I'm fairly certain they need room to run and get exercise.
