In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

The cut to Paul Sinha’s little face in the phone box after what seemed to be a really promising hiding attempt is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.

I get that it was a funny, quirky thing but (I think) the task solutions that involve the production and editing team basically doing the work shouldn't get marked as highly as other solutions where the contestants did it themselves.

I recall learning the hard way at one point that the first thing you have to establish in a game of hide and seek is a time limit.
When Alex was searching for the aubergines, whenever he asked a question, they should have answered "All the information's on the task."
Mel's inflatable ball tasks still made me cry laughing. "Mel Giedroyc is officially nice" is just so priceless.

The amount of time spent getting her to do all that, for about seven seconds of television, is why Taskmaster is a great show.

i think part of the aubergine task that was missed is the first contestant has a significant advantage. when alex found an aubergine in a pillow, he would check the pillows of each of the following contestants.

You have to admire Richard not even trying to hide the pineapple crown and just walk out of the house with it sticking out of his fly, then Alex playing along and not "finding" it until they were halfway through the task
On the aubergine and pineapple tasks, the contestants (understandably) missed the goal. You don't need the best way to hide all of it. You just want one little bit hidden very very well.

As soon as they started tearing them apart I thought why not just take a tiny bit and hide it in the smallest crevice? And why did Ed stop his attempts to eat it? If he had managed to eat one small part then it would of never been found.

@Chris Jones The task was to hide the eggplants (American) in the room. The crew is part of the room. But I understand the feeling. In the season with Rob Beckett (Season 2 perhaps) had a task to "free" Alex and the solution was in (spolier). Loopholes and creative solutions are allowed as tasks are designed to find an easy or funny solution.

I had the thought of cutting a ring out of one of the slices, and hang it over the curtain rail next to the outside door, so it was hidden by the folds of the curtain. Or taping a piece inside that black stand most of them hid a bit under.
I'd not noticed it til today. As the close the door on the phone box, and Paul squats down, the little look the staff member gives is gold.

I remember watching this episode with my wife and two older children. There's never been a time when all four of us each laughed at loud at the exact same moment, with the exact same intensity, as when Paul's childlike face was seen hiding in the phone booth. I particularly enjoy the tasks that only one person had to do.
At the end the contrast between Mel and Noel is such good editing. Makes Noel look like the genius he is. And FairPlay to Mel. I’d’ve been just as good as her at this.
Lolly was the BEST! Loved her messing with Alex 😁
If I was doing this I'd hide underneath the caravan so I'd literally be right under Alex's nose.
Not going to tell how many times I had to rewind to see Mel. And not even sure after they zoomed in on her little feet. Top shelf camouflaging i say.

There was a easy way out of the phonebox challenge. It just says you and your clothes cant be visable, easy solution is cover yourself with a sheet
“And a little bit in the Pennyfield area” 😂
I like that, even when Mel is calling herself a penis, she still has the self-esteem to know she is well-endowed. 👍🏻
At no point did it say you had to stay in the same house, or the same city... I'm mildly surprised no-one left the country to lead Alex on a merry goose chase.
I love seeing Mel take all those wax seals

@@tantrum2577 I live in Europe (UK and Spain) and go private whenever I can. The longest wait I've been given was 3 years in Spain and being told even at the end of that I still might not get the treatment I want (3 years and counting) however was able to book myself into a private hospital the week after. For the UK my longest wait I've been given is 1 year. Try this experiment, go to a price comparison site for medical insurance, apply for top rate insurance for a family of 5 ranging from 5 to 81 years (to represent the population) then ask yourself why the cost PER PERSON is £2300 in the UK but you can cover a family of 5 for a fraction of that, with no wait times or crappy service

@@nicosmind3 you're only talking about SCHEDULED treatment. Of course going private for such treatments is going to be quicker. But answer this, if you break your arm in the UK, are you calling 999 or a private doctor? You'll 100% call 999, NHS will give emergency treatment and only afterwards are you able to seek private treatment! How do I know this? I assist NHS patients to seek private care.
