Hidden In Plain Sight visits Once Upon A Time In Hollywood Spahn Ranch movie set Corriganville Park

We visited our favorite park in Simi Valley and discovered this amazing replica of Spahn Ranch. Could Tarantino and crew be coming to Simi Valley to do filming on his new movie “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood “? Inquiring minds want to know!

I dunno about pefect...One of those cars was a different shade of green and another was parked about 7 more feet west of one of the others..Also the garden at the back right the grass was even browner in the original.

Me & my best friend Becky, went to Spahn Ranch to get jobs saddling horses for the stable horses they rented out. They paid $5 a day, but we both decided not to work there, because the old men hanging out on that wooden porch looked too grisly !!!!! Yes, little did we know, that Manson was already up in the hills behind the riding stables. Had to be before 1970 We both had our own horses, so we knew horses.... I think her full name was Becky Erickson

This is so cool, can't believe I've only just seen it! It's eerily identical to the original Ranch isn't it. Love all of the [stolen] cars dotted around the place that were eventually converted into dune buggies by Family members in preparation for their "life out in the desert" hiding from Manson's imaginary "race war". A crazy, crazy dude. Looking forward to this movie just based on the sets alone - this and the way they transformed streets in Los Angeles back in time to 1969 are incredible.

Nobody knows if he really believed that crap or not. He said The Beatles spoke to him on the White Album but he was already familiar with Krishna Venta and his race war predictions. Manson would have said he believed Mickey Mouse was the real messiah if he thought he could use that to manipulate someone.

I wondered if Tarantino would recreate Spahn somewhere for the movie and where. Never thought about Corriganville! He looked at Paramount Ranch, which has been Spahn Ranch in three different productions, but passed on it. I doubt that he was looking at it for Spahn, though, as it didn't really look anything like Spahn. Probably was considering it for one of the places the cowboy actor hero of the movie supposedly worked at. Thanks for sharing. This is really cool to see.

I heard that they tore that down after the movie. I have always said at the site of Spahn ranch. That's some people should build the old western buildings. As a tourist attraction and have cookouts and everything there. I look at that site and I see the way that the sun shines over everything and it's really a beautiful sight. People just associate that site with one name and the bad things that he done and overlook all of the magic that happened there before he arrived. That would be the perfect site for an old western thing going on where you could rent horses out have cookouts bunch of people just getting together having a good time have cottages there just look at the way that the sun shines over everything it turned a golden color

I'm pretty sure that there were more buildings in the real Spahn ranch, and also that George Spahn house was not 'up on a hill' at the end of a long open stretch. The layout seems 'off'.
