This week we head north of Cooktown to Elim Beach, a beautiful and remote campground that is Indigenous owned and managed by the Traditional Owners. This place is a must visit on your North Queensland itinerary, with it’s wild and untouched environment, absolute waterfront camping and spectacular coloured sands to explore.
Then we find another hidden gem nestled beside the spectacular Black Mountain range, and camp off grid on a private airstrip at Rossville Retreat.

Yep, a beaut Vid. But was somewhat concerned as Jasper was enjoying his sand dig, but, struth, I have seen decent sized Crocks cover that ground so quick. Am hoping my visual of distance to the water was further...Stay Happy.....Stay Safe....Cheers.

Have to stick to the old Cape York Five meter rule in that country. Stay 5 meters away from the water, a big croc can launch himself that far.

Great episode, loved the chat with Eddie’s son. Have seen all the Kedron Boys DVD’s so great to hear the story from the son. Didn’t realise Eddie had passed, big loss for the area.

Ha ! As soon as Katie was getting that camera in the rain, I knew exactly where u were. It’s my favourite location in QLD. Amazing sunsets 🌅. Mud Crabbing used to be pretty good there too….. I’m so envious 🥹😀. Ps I’m going to grab that satellite gear just before new years also… how great is that deal. Take care all 😎
