@@DownieLive Mike - When we can safely travel again, I suggest you put this on your 'must do' list for Ireland. I took my family [eight members] here and it was outstanding. You get the key and the place is yours for your rental time period and is convenient to the Burren, and the Wild Atlantic Way on the west coast of Ireland. www.smithstowncastle.com/ Smithstown Castle Ballynagowan Castle [Original Gaelic] Located on the West coast of Ireland in the beautiful County Clare, Smithstown Castle is the perfect place to start your Irish adventure. Set away from busy roads on almost 5 acres of mature grounds overlooking a river valley, the Castle offers tranquillity and privacy - and yet you’re just a stone’s throw away from the diverse and exciting attractions Clare has to offer.

This looks amazing! I’d love to stay there and explore more of Ireland! Thanks for the great recommendation!
Nice! Patrick stole your ending line....priceless! Sounds like a series coming to me...."Hidden Gems Around the World on DownieLive!"
Well Patrick is just the cutest thing I ever did see!!! Thank you for putting this together. It’s a great idea and a great reminder that adventure is a state of mind.

Very true, Alyssa! It was so fun for me to put together and learn along the way!
That was a lot of fun Michael!!! You will definitely have to do a part 2 of this sometime in the near future. It is great to see that you have followers from across the globe.

For sure!!
I really respect that unlike a lot of travel vloggers, you're abiding by health guidelines and not travelling around the world. I know BC and Canada JUST made it hard to leave the country, but you've been pretty consistent from the start. So many travel vloggers - who I really enjoy watching - are unfortunately encouraging bad behaviour right now. More power to you!

Mike, How wonderful to see all these submissions. There are so many wonderful folks around the world and sharing things that are important to us is one way that we invite each other into our lives. May we always keep a part of the enthusiasm that little Patrick is showing to us - always willing to discover something new and reveling in it.

Oh, wow! It was neat to see the Medalta pottery works again. I spent quite a bit of time there in 2013 in the aftermath of the flood event. The entire site flooded and was left covered in mud and silt. It took crews of dozens of people, working day in and day out for months, to restore the site to pre-flood condition.
Great video! Especially young Patrick I'll be watching for him to come along as a KZread Star thank you so much.
Thank you Mike for assembling this video.

Hey! Mike and also post some videos from beach towns, I would like to see more content of water and water sports in the next summer
Love this.
Your 39 thousand & some steps brought to mind that classic adventure story, The 39 Steps. & that reminds me of the thousand and one steps down to the ocean in South Surrey, Ocean Park. There are 200 and some steps going down and the other 800 steps are coming back up.
Nice video and very informative and very entertaining and very satisfaction more videos.

We love you Downie 💓
Agree with the Sydney ferries, a wonderful and relaxing way to travel around Sydney during the “part 2” of our honeymoon (totally unplanned, but it was a great place to visit and cheaper because it was winter there), and while the bridge walk is cool, another hidden gem is the museum inside the stone pillar at the city end of the bridge facing the opera house (you can access it from a door on the pedestrian walkway that goes over the bridge.) It’s good cardio as there’s a lot of stairs inside, many stories about the building of the bridge, and the men that died in accidents. At the very top of all the stairs is an outdoor observation deck that has some unique views of the surrounding area. Another great day trip with the ferries is the Taronga zoo, you can buy your zoo tickets at the ferry terminal in Circular Quay to save a little money (definitely get the gondola ride ticket as well, so you can start at the top of the zoo and walk your way back down to the ferry slip as you go). Only disappointment was we flew all the way from New York to see kangaroos, and they were sleeping when we got to the zoo! (And then we found out that the Staten Island zoo here has kangaroos! (Another hidden gem, great little zoo to bring kids too as well.)

I started watching "Life in a Day 2020" but a little more than halfway through I turned it off. Interesting things happening around the world, but it went in a direction I didn't expect. And then, I saw you Hidden Gems was available. You have some pretty cool followers - as if I didn't know ;) - with some sweet places to see. Thanks for including the clip about Medicine Hat.
