Ian, it seems that there is something "SPOOKY" going on between you and the number "one thousand", because 1000/250 is eight, not ten, and 525 watts is one thousand times the actual power output of the unit (obviously, you meant "milliwatts").

@@ianfann, not a big deal. Incidentally, I recently purchased an FX-AUDIO volume controller. There are one or two reviews of it on KZread, but I feel there should be more, since it is such a useful little device. Of course, it would be FAR more useful if it could accept balanced inputs/output.

Just got mine in orange. Also have the M300. R4 is way better.

Just received mine in orange with the strap! Also have the M300 but the R4 sounds way better imho. And it feels more "proper audiophile" once you pass the funky design (which I like btw). Plus the bigger screen is great for my old mans eyes. 🔥

Does it overheat? Does MSEB setting apply to streaming songs as well? Can one download songs from streaming apps into sd card?

Nice review bro. Hiby dap is really good. Currently using R6 3. Personally I also prefer having a knob, so I sold my R6 pro 2 for R6 3, also more portable.

I tried to checkout the Hiby R4 from the link provided, but it does not seem to allow delivery to Singapore. How did you manage to get them to deliver to an SG address?

There seems to be report of battery usage of around 6-7 hours and heating issues making it uncomfortable to hold. Would appreciate more people to verify this. Thank you 🙏

The battery on the website says 11 hours for this and the m300 says 29 hours but reviewers have stated on time is only 20 hours. Not sure about which may be better than the other but the m300 appears to have higher battery and the built in speakers for whatever that’s worth.

What is the name of that headphones and where did you get it from?

According to other reviews I've seen, yes. I can verify once mine arrives in a week or so.

Kindly provide time stamps from the next time Ian. Many of us are just interested in one or two particular aspects of a product.

To be honest if you look at other options from hiby, this is the 2nd cheapest option but the performance of this player is equivalent to something that costs roughly twice as much money from any other company :)

I like this DAP. One thing you can't do is transfer music files to the installed sd card

you have to enable file transfer in the settings...took me 20 minutes to figure it out, cause I don't use android
