    Nice review. I like the breaks where they are located on the handlebar. I only wish the bell was somewhere else, it is not that easy to ring it. I would like it to be on the left side and able to ring it with the thumb. Also, I wish the app showed distance and time.

    I purchased this scooter for $30. On Craigslist.. aside from needing replacement parts like the motor, headlight and throttle total cost of $150. I couldn't be happier, scooter does ride stiff tho! Adjusting the suspension help soften the ride quality..

    They need to be better with their customers. Email after email goes unanswered and the guy that answers the phone just says “email us with questions”. Gave us a tracking number that was a year old and didn’t work. Took 2 weeks to ship. The K4 pro is nice though. Nicer than the unagi.

    The scooter is a must buy if you're looking to get a electric . Sure it's not super fast, but if you've never ridden an electric scooter before then the top speed of this one will be well in your range of comfort because it goes almost 20 mph and I can assure you unless you're trying to race to get where you're going and enjoy the ride for $300 I can't stress how much this is in a bargain for you to buy I'm not even part of the company. I'm just someone who's been using the scooter for over a month driving it to work every day and so forth and I'm about 40 pounds over the weight limit and it rides fine fine. The battery doesn't last as long because I'm a little heavy and it uses more power for me to get places but the battery still does what I needed to do. I think I'll get about 10 miles out of it and this is an older scooter that I have. It's old and like I said I'm fat lol but nonetheless if you're looking for a scooter range, this is a bargain for 299. I just stoppederror code I try to figure it out and see what to do. I think it's a wire in the handle that's messed up. I don't know. I might be out of luck, but that's not the scooters fault.

    Is the S2 pro worth the extra $150? I’m leaning towards just buying the S2, but I don’t want to regret “skimping out.” The S2 pro does have the 500 watt motor (vs the 350 watt motor on the S2). It also has 10” wheels (vs 8.5” wheels). The only other feature the S2 Pro has is 25 mile range vs the 17 mile range of the S2. Are all these features worth the extra money?

  • @KenjiMapes

    @KenjiMapes

    7 ай бұрын

    I’m in the same boat. The S2 seems good but when I look back on many previous purchases I have wished that I dished out a little more for the better model. There is an S2 Plus also with a little more range & a removable battery which is very convenient & advantageous. You can use that extra money & get a 2nd battery so you on effect double the range. That’s why I’m leaning on getting the S2 Plus. The KS4 models are other ones to consider too. Sometimes I dislike having so many choices!😆

  • @JJGray21

    @@KenjiMapes I ended up buying the S2 Pro, my dad bought an S2. We use them to get around the state camp grounds. By the end of the day, mine will have 2-3 battery bars left, his will be drained. On top of that, mine is substantially better at climbing hills (due to the 500 watt motor) and it’s better on rough terrain (due to the larger wheels). If I were to recommend one between the S2 and S2 Pro, I’d go with the S2 Pro, 100% of the time. I will say, you definitely can feel every bump you drive over in both scooters (though it is slightly less in the S2 Pro because of the larger wheels). Personally, it doesn’t bother me at all, but I could see why that would be important to someone. I like the fact that both scooters have solid wheels so you never have to worry about a flat. I got my S2 Pro for $450 during their “back to school sale” and bought from their company through Amazon. I had no issues with my purchase, but other reviews say not to buy through Amazon.

    5:48 - Every rider will be a position where they only have one hand on the handlebar. Seems logical to have access to the brakes if you find yourself in trouble at the exact moment you have your cell phone in your left hand...

    I have a different viewpoint than yours regarding the effectiveness of the disc brake in quickly stopping the scooter. In my opinion, the disc brake doesn't contribute significantly to the braking process. When you pull the brake lever, both the electronic regen brake and the disc brake are activated simultaneously. The sensation of stopping that you experience is primarily the result of the regen brake, rather than the disc brake. To validate my point, you can try pulling the lever with the scooter turned off. In this scenario, the regen brake would be inactive, but the disc brake would still function. If you ride the scooter downhill, you will notice that the disc brake alone operates weakly in this situation. Additionally, you may observe that the rear wheel easily locks up without significantly halting the scooter's motion.

    I think something is wrong with your disc brake. I have an S2 Pro, and the disc brake will pitch you over the handlebars if you hit it hard. It is the most powerful brake. The regen brake is the better one to use because it slows you down at a moderate clip, much less extreme than the disc brake. You might say the regen brake is the measured slow down.

    I LLOOVVEE my Hiboy S2! She takes me to work everyday without complaining: I throw her on the charger 3 times a day:1 at Home and 1 when I show up to work and gas her up when I come home from work and she is charged up for me when I need her again... commute or pleasure. I takes 2 to 3 Bars for my commute to work everyday I LOVE the colored bars cause it indicates how Home to motor is/isn't working and the break regeneration it has!! Oh, I feel the asphalt too. This Scooter exceeded my expectations by far.... I would buy it again for my nephew!!
