Hi Sea Drifter has gone..and now my old fishing car..what have I done?

Ойын-сауық

Yes, after selling Hi Sea Drifter, possibly the most famous small fishing boat in the world, GP has finally called time on his old fishing car. A vehicle that has seen many successful fishing trips and even been used for overnight camping in order to cram in the best dawn fishing times. Everything must come to an end, but what exactly has he moved in as a replacement? There's a dial on the dashboard that bothers him...it's saying 160!! Check out the film to see the replacement. Then there is an update on the summer planting, with some great success stories, a broken rod repair..some great footage of the summer field cutting together with Colin the Kite and finally Grant's Tackle Up talking through one of the suspended Catfish rigs that might see you on the road to that extra large specimen Moggie...Sit back and be whisked away to the World of the Totally Awesome Fishing Show.

Graeme, you might try hot glue to fix on the tip eye. Simply heat the glue stick over a lighter flame and apply to rod. Slide on eye, adjust for alignment...job done. It can also be removed by heating the same way if you want to change it in the future. Super glue especially toughened with powder is permanent and if the eye gets broken in the future the rod will need to be cut to remove it.

My parents have always driven a manual, but when they got a newer car a few years ago they got a Toyota hybrid. They wish that they had done it years ago as it's so much better for my parents. You will find yourself having a calmer drive because there's less for you to do. Have a great time in it, you deserve it. 😀👍

With regards to the tubing/hose on your Peugeot estate. If you can find a local shop or business that specialises in building/repairing or selling industrial machinery. They might have some industrial/hydraulic hoses that will fit your car. Get a mechanic to remove the perished tubing and take it to the hydraulic hose shop and see iif they have the correct size to match it. Since the hose/tubing (whatever you want to call it...) is only used to transport coolant, an industrial grade hydraulic hose will be perfectly fine and probably overkill but it will do the job no problem.

Lane departure warning is a standard safety feature on modern cars, I'd definitely recommend switching it off on B roads because it will try to put you in the hedge from time to time. Be careful with wildflower seeds, lots of them contain a sort of giant clover looking thing which will run riot in your flower beds. It has caused no end of headaches for me when clients have sprinkled them in flower beds that I've spent years getting under control

  • @TAFishing

Aah,that's worth knowing because there is one in there that looks like a giant Clover leaf...I am in pots but won't let them run to seed and blow elsewhere. Thanks for the tip. That lane departure warning is a pain in the bait box. Every time I crossed a bit of painted road it would tweak at the steering wheel which is unnerving...I try to switch it off but it must be set as default to be on when you first start up,so you have to make a point of turning it off straight away. I'm sure there are a load of other features I don't want/need but have yet to discover them..

Sprinkle liquid superglue with Baking powder to speed up setting it will also expand slightly to fill the gap. It sets faster and gives a really hard finish.

Thanks for that, sounds a good tip .I meant to pick up the gel type superglue but got the watery one which is never easy to use so the baking powder idea might do it.

Great vlog as usual greame. Congratulations for the new car. I am facing a dilemma. I haven an audi a3 and obviously its not big enough for two people to sleep in. I am looking for a car in which to people can sleep in as me and my brother go fishing together. Any ideas.

Are you ok, Graeme? You have sold the boat and most of your recent videos appear to be from the back catalogue. I hope you're not ill and getting too old to do what you love doing the most, we all want to believe that you will be here fore ver.

Totally incorrect...All the films are brand new some only filmed last week ?. I think you must have been missing a lot of what has been going up. You need to hit the notification bell or you are missing all the films everyone else appears to be watching. Recently I have been putting up 2 a week...can't work any harder..not enough hours in the day...

What happens to all the old vintage vehicles when we (allegedly) go electric only ?? Are they going to be worthless ? or will they be worth more ? Or will they be taxed more by Governments because they don't want to sell petrol/diesel ?
