HHIs were meant to be a calculation of market concentration within a market -- not necessarily the market power of a particular market participant. That would be their market share. Explain to me if I am wrong.

My question, when sending the HHI as a sales tool, do you note it in dollars? I think no, it's market share, but I know others who note it as dollars. Which the dollar does not make sense to me, as you are saying the company is making X amount of dollars but it's technically an HHI number.
