yes..one of my fav kits. very unique design.

The reason they included the Kampfer in the instruction manual is because, in lore terms, the Gerbera Tetra was completed using designs from the Kampfer, as the two suits were built to fulfill the same roles.

Specifically, the GP04 "Gerbera" designs were abandoned by Anaheim and then completed by Zeon using the Kampfer as a base.

Everyone please note the color of this kit is much closer to a Char Salmon then the darker red shown here. Zack (Zach?) has very blue lighting in his studio which is making the kit look a lot redder

Hit mine with a matt spray after and it went extra salmon. Just thought I’d mention this for others.

Despite the hindered articulation I loved building this kit. Also gave it a desert color scheme. I also scratch built a mono eye. I’m really proud of this build.

That’s the way I feel about the HGUC Marasai. Simple, not the most agile kit, but it’s so simple yet good.

I really like designs that throw in large thrusters. they really express speed and maneuverability. It also reminds me of my horrible rockets in Kerbal space program lol

there's also two P-Bandai variants of this kit which is the "Roll-Out" version with a different head design and a Build Fighters version done in pink.

Gives me some sazabi vibes design wise. This one is definitely going on my “wants to build it” list

The original 1/144 kit was my first ever gunpla. I was around 10 years old in the mid-90's and just randomly got it from a comic/sci-fi shop before I even knew what Gundam was. I just liked building sci-fi model kits and thought it looked cool. Nice to see the updated version, thanks for the review =)

Hoping they make an HG GP04 at some point, and if not at least a reissue of the R/E 100 one.

Generally, I would say most kits from any grade after 2009 or so are great with a smattering of exceptions here and there.

I will say, the HGUC DOM/ Rick DOM kit from 2006 was a rare exception of an old kit holding up really well today. Seam lines are pretty minimal, respectable articulation (especially for a big boy), and a moving mono eye in a time we rarely had them. Just one notable exception and a kit I'd highly recommend.

That last runner being without a bag is actually like that from the factory for whatever reason, mine, which is a 2022 reprint, and every other unboxing on the internet are the same way.

one of my favorite suits and one of my favorite characters. Stuff like the massive booster on this, or the verniers on the Fb bring out the prototype nature of the suits. Just massive, ostentatious, slightly impractical devices which demonstrate a sort of imperfect execution of a design philosophy.

this has been in my back log for a while too! If you cant tell... im trying to build all of 0083 lol

It's not really a fun build despite looking good. The GP01Fb has aged awfully as well. Luckily, the GP02 makes up for it, that is a great HG.

I've never noticed the eyes and long nose look of the sturmbooster backpack before but now that you've pointed it out I can't help but see it as a Borzoi

This thing was such a rad mobile suit design, and it's biggest moment was getting epically swatted out of the sky like a fly.

This is such a cool design but I feel they didn't do as well as they could of on this kit because it had like 1 and a half mins of screen time ,they did Cima Dirty in 0083 ,gave her a cool new prototype MS and then boom destroyed lol

The kit looks unique and cool, but the cooler part was the shoulder fix! Will add to the arsenal of fixing skills.

I love this mech design. Poor Cima Garahau, such a tragic character.

It would be sick to make a diorama with the dendrobrium, gerbera tetra, and some gm type cs and gm customs and zaku f2s and gelgoog marines to make a 0083 fight scene with maybe a small neue ziel in the background

0083 had such top tier designs. While I’m not a big fan of the interpersonal narrative between Kou, Gato, and Nina, the rest of the OVA is so good. I dismissed it as an “impostor series” but I’ve come to think this is my favorite prequel/fill-in story. The way that it explains a lot of the in between time after MSG and MSZG without interfering too much in either on account of the events and MS being classified was a great way to incorporate the story into canon.

Love the Gerbera Tetra, it's still one of my favorite designs. I love it so much I bought and built this even though I hate how small the 1/144 scale is. Still waiting for a 1/100 version, don't care if it's MG, RE/100, or Full Mechanics. Wish Bandai would give the monoeyes more love instead of the eleventy-billion gundams they keep releasing...

The shoulders & chest is my favorite parts of the design since their simple but unique.

Those ads in the box made me nostalgic. I miss Gundam Breaker sooooo much. I want a GB4 so bad. I spent hundreds of hours with 3 and would gladly do it again.

pretty sure that loose runner is normal in that kit, pretty sure mine came loose as well

I recently built this kit, and weirdly, it also had that same runner loose in the box. Mine still had the plastic bands on it though. So maybe it's just how they shipped them?

Back in the 90s, I've built the No Grade. I might want to have a shot at this one. Wish it was a MG or a RE100.

I hope they do 2.0's on all 0083 MG kits and release this in RE 1/100 line.

Something else when it comes to brass rod pin repair like this - I had to make a repair like this once on someone else's kit where a round pin broke clean off, I was able to drill through and insert the rod and glue it all together but the rod would not bind and the pin kept breaking free. After the second failed repair I got some sandpaper and sanded the rod to roughen up the surface and once I got that back in and glued together the peg repair finally held! So anytime you ever need to pin a piece like this I would recommend always sanding the rod first.

Then you've clearly never built the old HG guncannon or the the HGUC GM Striker. Both excellent articulation and double jointedness. Do your research before you speak.

I find the only fault is the shoulders shape collides with the stock of the gun and limits postings that's it.

If I had the dendrobium I'd drill a hole through the chest of the tetra and pose it on the big beam cannon

Elle I agree with your sentiment, the HGUC Gerbera Tetra is incredibly fragile. Source: I've built it twice.

Mc model had one years ago that looks really good. Much better than this one.this days i think will be imposible to.find.
