As you know Cyprus, you will also be aware that there are two sovereign UK bases in Cyprus at Akrotiri and Dhekelia over which Cyprus has no control which rights to the UK were granted as part of the independence agreements. So,the question is who is Hezbollah really threatening? A casual look at google maps will show a lovely runway at the base in Akrotiri which the British used against the Iraqis, and recently against the Houthis Also, in the eastern part of Cyprus, the roads that go to the tourist areas of Agia Napa all pass through Episkopi, so if the British decided to cut those off the east would be basically cut off.
