Hey Matt, What’s Your #1 Sleep Hack?

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Sleep is one of the most important variables and a healthy lifestyle. It’s the foundation for effective diet exercise habits to fully take route and become as effective as possible. Even the best diet and exercise plans become an uphill battle when sleep is compromised.
There are plenty of ways to improve your quality of sleep with healthy habits, but the best way I find to ensure I get a good night sleep is to expose myself to intense physical exercise several times a week.
It doesn’t have to be the most grueling, blood sweat, tears style training. Just something that pushes your ability to keep going a few times to get the heart rate up a bit and make the muscles burn.

Sleep in the day. Why would you need somebody else to make a video for you? Stop acting like a defenceless child

Omg You have no idea how much you motivate me when you describe a set where you just keep pushing after the last rep that was hard anyway at 2 min…i got up from just sitting and started doing pushups just to get the pump

In my 30s and even 40s I slept pretty good, but now at 55 it isn't very good at all. I usually get 4 solid hours and the other 4 are very patchy; have to get up and read for awhile, go to the bathroom, lay in bed awake but try to be still and quiet the mind, etc. I don't lift heavy weights anymore (still lifting, but much lighter), and I do plenty of arduous mountain biking. I have zero caffeine (switched to decaf coffee) and zero alcohol, but it makes zero difference on my sleep! Hell, I may have slept better when I was using those substances. Everybody's different...

Hey Matt, thanks for this fantastic advice. Ive also noticed better sleep if I go for a walk in the evening followed by an intense, short callisthenics session.

    1. What exercise would you recommend? 2. Do you think bad to have an intense workout before you sleep?
