As a former Marine, especially one who played piano as a young teen, I hated that until I was awakened by songs like Jude,and many others, Clapton, black crows, I began then and now realized it was melodies, songs with a story etc that was truly this guy's first love...Today at age 43, I own a baby grand piano with reversed keys, whites r black and sharps white, and I play everything from Shinedown call me, to November rain, purple rain, Jerry Lee Lewis Great Balls of Fire, to moonlight sonata, even Carly commando, hell occasionally even a little pre beat of Still Dre...lol...music, I just love letting take me to the memories the songs are associated with, and it so effortlessly, and happens every time...

Thank you for sharring. Its years that i had not heard the beatles, i was in my teens n had their pictures all over the walls n i had a friend with the Name n he was playing in the band. True story: My white friend Henry has a crush on a black girl every time he sees her he will be shy. On homecoming dance I don't dance I only sing on the Homecoming dance I sing "Hey Jude" but replace Jude with Harry for the chorus. He got to dance with her.
