Hexham town named happiest place to live in the UK, again

Mayor of Hexham Derek Kennedy, in his first broadcast interview of the day after the town was named Britain’s happiest place to live for the second time in three years.

probably the lack of the diverse types of crime.
How lovely, they obviously don’t have illegal immigrants hanging around the school gates or on the streets, or their hotel’s filled with them,

Loads of English refugees from London in Hexham.
That whole area is very beautiful. Hexham, Corbridge, Alnwick, Wooler, lovely small traditional communities and friendly towns, not yet ruined by political decisions to impose cultural enrichment. No doubt, their time will come as other places fill up.
Well that's where they will put the economic migrants then
Judging by many of the comments here, perhaps the politicians should examine this place and use it as a model to assist policy making

It's being invaded by refugees fleeing London
Someone will soon complain that it’s hideously white.
I just googled it .. it looks beautiful. UK has best landscapes.
Corbridge is better. 👍. Having said that anyone living on the Northumberland coast should be pretty pleased most of the time. 😁

1.25 Haven't been to Hexham for a few years, is the beach new?
Let's see how happy they'll be when they get their heat pump...electric car and the gas petrol oil and diesel is phased out ..happy climate.

I live in Hexham And You know I suppose it's nice But like THERE IS NO DIVERSITY:/ Which is annoying for a start.I think st Ives in Cornwall should be the happiest
Hilarious, there’s a huge state of the art hospital, replaced the previous one.. Only one problem, its a trust and has failed to provide any A&E cover for those in the Hexham and surrounding villages.. I wonder how many realize that they face a 40 mile journey by ambulance to receive life saving medical care… Hexham General Hospital, often referred to as one of the most expensive walk in centers ever built… They cannot even dispense antibiotics for cystitis.. 😱 So propose a thorough investigation to actually determine how many have died unnecessarily since Hexham lost its A&E hospital??? 300 Homes built in recent years, young couples destined to be naming their child after an ambulance driver… It’s an area of outstanding beauty for sure, as so much of Northumberland is… Just Hexham need a Hospital that provides A&E 24/7!!!
