Enter the Humans was the second film in the HEXAD cycle, made by the 2023 Year 11 cohort. This film premiered on June 1, 2023.
Enter the Humans uses a quartet of teens as a chorus. As each puts forward ideas of where humankind came from, different animation styles whimsically illustrate the origin stories.
From the HEXAD program:
When homo sapiens evolved around 300,000 years ago, they entered a very different
world. Forests covered much of the Earth, but grasslands, savannahs, and deserts were
also present in different regions. Many of the continents were still connected by land
bridges.
The relationship between humanity and nature was one of harmony.
This harmonious relationship between people and the natural environment allowed
humans to live in balance with the natural world and was characterised by a deep
understanding of the interconnectedness of all living things.
People worked with nature rather than against it.
