How to turn a hex nut into a ring.
This is the method and tools i use to make rings out of hex nuts. I don't have a Lathe or fancy tools. most of the tools I used you will either already have or can borrow from someone you know.

Awesome job 💍👏👍💯🧐
Good video. Straight and to the point but all the pertinent details are there. I have all the necessary tools and I just got a new set of carbide bits. Love the hammered look pattern! Thanks a bunch.
Cool ring, thanks for the inspiration.
I made a ring from a hex nut once. There are some things I wish I knew before I made my first one. Thanks!
Great tutorial! Love the hammered effect with the Dremel. It gives me alot of ideas.
Jim. que buen trabajo. Te felicito. Desde Argentina te saluda Alberto.
This is very well done!!! I'm gonna make one just like this. I have the same tools as you and it's nice to see someone using inexpensive ones! Great video mate!! You earned a sub!😄👍

Thanks Gavo, it's a stainless steel nut which means you dont have to coat it with anything 👍🏻
Im a size men's 17 can you make one that size..
Sir how did you make the other finish on the last ring, the one that has like a ton of flat surfaces on it?

It's a finish call faceted. Just pushed it against the sander at different angles. It's probably my favourite finish

@Jim Parker thank you for your answer. I thought about pressing the ring against the sander, but it felt almost impossible to make the surfaces so even. You are truly skilled.
i have made rings from hex nuts but when i wear them they start to rust, i have coated the inside with both nail polish coat and clear lacquer but they both have just teared off

For this pinky ring it was a M16 but I have quite Slender fingers. M16- M20 is a good Nut size range

Isn't that finish, so to speak, just called "hammered metal"? That seems to be what aluminum serving ware with that same finish is called.

You must have used a non stainless steel nut.
Amazing video I also made a video making. A ring from a nut so if you want to check it out
ногти подстреги
Very nice video beautiful ring but you need to cut your nails
I get annoyed by safety police guys, but come on dude. No goggles while you’re grinding metal bits, and a hoodie string hanging off your face while you use a belt sander. Not cool, brother.
