it says my device is not supported
i know (my last info) that the hevc is behind an an small licence for ms... about 1 buck like the price... but manufractors do not must pay that... so there is an hidden one.... (that i think is not listed by any search...)
It opens the $0.99 link on the store now.
I found this 3 years ago, but I don't think I could install it even though my device was super capable so I ended up downloading a free hevc package from someone else, it had no viruses just the package

You can not import that format, if you are a video editor or someone who works with video formats like that, it contains more bit depth and more color information to make some adjustment professionally, yes you can open the video file in VLC, but when it comes to editing, you should import the file in some kind of video editing app, that is why you need the codec to support that video format, and if you do not have that one, then you can not edit it.

@@GiorgiAkhalaia I do believe most video editors would know this by heart, therefore wouldn't be here. Unlike most people who'd want to watch a video, as myself. But, at the same time. I get ya. Is just curious such codecs arent embedded into the software or OS itself.

I personally use MPC because i find it lighter and a bit faster...but VLC has more features
