I'm a 39 year old ARMY veteran having served 10 years. When I was a child my dad returned from desert storm in Bosnia. He was in the airport wearing his ARMY fatigues and happened to see Mr. Walker. My father and I were fans of him. My father approached him asked for a handshake and an autograph for me. Mr. Walker replied get away from me I don't have time for this. Unless he's changed a lot over the years, he's not a nice or respectable person.

This is the most sound and coherent speech he did this entire campaign! AND he took his loss like a man and didn't claim fraud or his race was stole. Koo-do's to him!

That was my first thought too. Appreciative that he conceded and didn’t claim fraud without basis like others on the Trump train. Then I realized how incredibly low of a bar that is and where my expectations for that group are. My scale of expectation for that group had been continuously and gradually knocked down that I hadn’t realized how low it had gotten. It’s like how unacceptable some of the things current leaders say would’ve been just 10 years ago, but we’ve all become acclimated to unacceptable behavior that it barely registers anymore.

@@majik31401 I feel like Herschel wasn't nearly so numb or dumb as he let on. I think he gave the voters of his party a good show and a good run, and he has seen their inclinations and put on what he thought they wanted and what his party wanted. Can't help but feel for him, politics is not for the faint of heart or limp of spine.

I cannot believe it but he was downright eloquent and gracious. Wtf?????

Ironically, this is his best speech. He spoke from the heart and showed his compassion and humility. If he had done this during the campaign he most likely would have won, and that is a lesson for everyone.

The man came out and gave the most sincere speech of the campaign and told them to believe in the constitution and the process. A class speech the kind every republican should follow.

As someone who did phone banking to support Warnock, I greatly appreciate Walker’s gracious concession. He was probably one of the most unfit senate candidates of the election cycle and it would have been devastating if he had won, but I commend him for not taking Trump’s path of being a sore loser and denying election results that don’t go his way. Hopefully the republican party can turn the page.

Thanks, Hershel! You provided a concession with grace and class and in a pro American manner. I appreciate you!

Although being a Canadian, I follow US politics closely and you have to hand it to Walker. This was a very humble and relaxed concession speech. He took the loss like a man. Much respect. He gave the impression of relief that he didn’t win, like he was forced into running.

Although I would never have voted for him I do greatly appreciate his concession speech I think that the fact he specifically stated that they shouldn't blame anyone, that looseing isn't the end, and that no one should tear us apart

I think this is the most intelligent he's been during this runoff.

That's the most coherent and level-headed I've seen him. I'm glad he lost but I'm impressed he did it with some shred of dignity in the end.

Didn't see a speech like this from him. Best speech of his campaign. Very gracious and had some very good things to say. Shocked that it was so close. I thought he would lose by 5 points.

I would never vote for Walker but that was a great heartfelt concession speech.
