Hm.... I don't think Dark Wings would let you HOP over and Orc like that... it says a square you can SEE. You cannot see THROUGH heroes or monsters.

I was thinking the same.

You might have gotten away with this in the UK ruleset that I grew up with where every monster has only a single Body Point, but the American ruleset makes The Trial a challenge even for four heroes. AS IT SHOULD BE!

Every now and then I consider adding a new class but instead I typically just make their an ability a relic lol. I did change the starting line up a bit though. Barbarian can now roll his combat dice to pick up furniture. He needs to roll skulls equal to the number of squares the furniture occupies. He can then smash an enemy with it, adding the size of the furniture to his combat dice for the attack. The dwarf starts with a helmet. The elf can pick any 3 spells. The wizard has all the spells. If this seems unbalanced, we also use random wandering monsters and give all the monsters special abilities.

Lovw the barbarian using weaponized furniture, that is awesome. It's really great because it can be used with any existing quest, too

@@AmalgamAsh yeah I always thought the barbarian got outclassed as soon as the dwarf got a broad sword. This way the barbarian has his own trick

Love play videos. Keep them coming! Curious why you chose to use the old game with the warlock and not break out the new figures? Love seeing the classic stuff of course. Just wondering. If just testing the figure out then go to that chaos warrior room! But if you want to see if you can “win” with her I think you’ve got to go straight to the center room. This was fun! Thanks!

Don’t want to be that guy but I am going to be lol - few qs re rules: You can’t fire ranged at adjacent except for the wand that doesn’t have that rule. You do have line of sight from door to one square diagonally into room. You don’t have line of sight through a mob so you can’t dark wings through the orc. Just about to say cast deomform straight away but you caught that one. 😊Also advice would be move to door ,end move. Open door which isn’t an action, attack ranged then move away to start kiteing. Anyway, enjoyed the vid 👍

Agreed on all except dark wings. You cast this spell at the attacking enemy. That's where LoS rules check if a body is in the way. For the teleport the wording 'to any space you can see'. You can see past enemies. That's why they don't block visibility of buildings and doors behind them. In this case you can teleport to behind the orc.

Some good catches. Definitely took advantage of the wand's lack of being a crossbow to get in some magical sucker punches! I attempted a kite, but didn't roll higher than the orc's movement squares, so ate the resultant hits. But opening a door, firing and bolting out of there is a great strategy for the next time she delves in!

@@null0993 I might agree except that as per the new app (which is best official reference I guess) the dark wings spell is cast on warlock (therefore mobs block Los) 🤷‍♂️

@@bassmango7191 Just tested in app and yeah I see the same behaviour. I agree that app should be treated as single source of truth. Nice find.

Wait, I thought you cold take a potion when you die? In any event, I appreciate the solo playthrough and your commentary throughout. I definitely think going solo really helps evaluate the character. I am surprised that her transformation doesn't let her negate any hits or roll more defense. Kind of a missed opportunity. One suggestion if I may... Why not use the extra Gargoyle in the Mythic Tier to represent her in Demon form? Would be easier to tell when it's being used, especially when there are multiple players. Just a thought. Regardless, the video was great and I look forward to more playthroughs! Please do Bard next!

You can take a potion to self cast a heal to prevent death.

How do you handle traps in SoloQuest?

dude, that wand is legit. i think i'll make it available to the Wizard as well, but in order to fire it they'll have to spend a spell card. why doesn't the Warlock have to spend a spell card? her demonic aspect is what powers her wand.

Warlock = glass canon but does not offer much that will help her allies. Wizard = weak unit with limited attack spells (Fire of wrath, Ball of Flame, & Genie) but offers highly valuable utility spells to boost the whole party (Such as Rock Armor & Courage) or trip up the enemy (Spells like sleep).
