77 combat missions in contested airspace heavily defended by s300 and s400 in an early 4th gen aircraft outnumbered by late 4th gen aircraft with air to air missiles with twice his range? This guy would be a rockstar in any Western airforce. This guy is a rockstar. Rick start really ??? I guess you watch too much movies or is that naive….putting a pilot in a newer aircraft with different avionics with short amount of training is a death wish. When you are trained to operate a particular air, you will be pushed to the limit under heave stress so that your reaction becomes second nature. Now try that in a aircraft with different avionics and see what happens……….maybe his job is just to shoot down gas powered Iranian drones confined to Ukraine airspace and not to venture out behind enemy lines.

A toilet that was most likely stollen from Ukraine along with a washing machine and a Racoon amongst other things. *Took Soledar, a small town with a pre-war population of less than 11,000 and made some other very small tactical gains elsewhere on the frontline then talked it up like it's some kind of major strategic military victory. *Accidentally bombed their own city. *Went from 'taking Kyiv in three days' to putting air defence systems on building rooftops in Moscow. While attempting to 'de-nazify' Ukraine Russia scored an own-goal and nazified themselves.

But it is the plane that makes the difference, It's not WW2 where pilots could offset the technological gap with their skill. Modern electronics make an enormous impact, especially in aviation. That's the reason why NATO focuses on air superiority doctrine and why Ukraine suffers such heavy losses during trench warfare. They have to slowly push through fortified enemy positions without air support, which means they have no effective way to eliminate Russian artillery and heavy weaponry that constantly harrases their troops. I wish the best for Ukraine but I can't stand the fact that we're doing the absolute minimum given the fact that most of our modern weaponry was designed to counter Russian war doctrine, which still focuses on trench warfare and throwing cannon fodder at the enemy.
I salute this guy for his bravery and patriotism to serve and protect his country and constituents, so amazing!!!! 👍
See the nickname on his helmet, it is Karaya. Did anybody know who was the first combat pilot with the name Karaya, the black tulip? Erich Hartmann, JG52, with 352 air victories, 345 of them against soviet pilots. I hope, that this Ukrainian hero will survive and will teach his experience to the fighter pilots in the Nato. This man is definitely a hero for his country. Flying an old jet against modern enemy jets. 65ft off the ground is insanity, like he said power lines or anything that could be a threat. Towers, buildings etc. Awesome and these men know they are out classed and out numbered but still fight. To save his country and make life better for his family and country men, women and children. While I support this pilot and applaud his commitment and skill it is clear that this interview is simply a propaganda piece made in order to gain sympathy and manipulate public opinion into creating a demand for the west to send F-16's to Ukraine. If in fact the west does send armaments to Ukraine it will mean we are at war with Russia. Do not swallow the propaganda people. 😔✌️

Some mistakes: The Su-37 is just a tech demonstrator. You probably mean Su-35. Ukraine isn't trying to get F-16 from the US, it's trying to get *permission* from the US to get F-16 from other countries. The US is most certainly not going to provide the airframes. They will most certainly be coming from Europe.

"Karaya" was what the best German fighter pilot in WW2, Erich Hartmann wrote onto his BF109 in Operation Barbarossa.
What a complete stud. This pilot must be a legend throughout all Ukraine 🇺🇦, known by his Callsign. If he had been with the USAF during the Vietnam War, I can easily see him flying the Sled (F-4 Phantom) as wingman with Colonel Robin Olds (an American Air Force legendary fighter pilot to this day), or flying Wild Weasel missions. If the post-ejection video footage is authentic, then this pilot is even more of a complete stud. I’ve seen post-ejection interviews with US pilots and none of them had the presence of mind to whip out a smartphone and record their descent from the skies. What the US Military pilots did say - without exception- was that surviving an actual ejection was the most violent experience of their lives and they never wanted to do it again. That said, if he did do this - and it wasn’t staged for propaganda purposes- that’s incredible. The ejection video was the only part of the video I found a bit sketchy. A face so bloody poor guy looks like he just went 15 with Tyson in his prime- but curiously no rivulets of blood to the eyes or mouth. If the footage is real, he cemented legend status just with that. Either way, this pilot has been putting his life on the line for his country- in capable but still antiquated jets by 5th Gen. standards.
Flying blind against aerial enemies with superior range and firepower takes enormous balls of steel and an unshakable resolve. Brave man, fly fast and strong warrior!❤
