You’ve made faction like stuff before(like the vampire kingdom vid) and I was thinking if you would ever make a Japanese like dynasty or something like that? You could make Oni, Yokai(idk if Oni’s are yokai or not.), human civilization/nation and I’d say dragon but there’s sadly no real dragons yet.

Scarring and prosthetics. Would love to see someone with more experience in this system find cool ways to present injuries and prostheses, which are kinda lacking in community, outside of very basic decal work, and the already provided prosthetic options.

Heroforge does 100% have an issue with the legs being too short, which is an issue I solve by simply using heeled shoes. Specifically mechanical heels since I typically work with sci-fi, and they can easily pass as regular shoes

For a service that let us build miniatures in the 28 or 30mm Heroscale i Think it's ok. But the Site has pushed these boundaries for a long time. The Bodymodel deserves a update.

One issue I have is that short characters can only have massive heads, there's leeway for larger characters, but I can't have a dwarf without them looking like a bobblehead.

The reason the colours are so desaturated is because I just found out the colours on my monitor have been completely off this whole time😭😭😭 I thought I was making really saturated characters this whole time but they have been so muted!

I have the opposite issue lol, I keep trying to make really subtly colored characters and then when I view them on other devices the colors are all wild and crazy!

I need Gettar to know that when you showed new the plague doctor, my jaw hit the floor. I literally spent the next 30 minutes loosing my shit over how AMAZING that piece is. Masterful execution, incredible detail, it’s a legitimate work of art,

The object layering and detailing you do has been a massive inspiration for me. I have an alchemist character and it was a joy to add all the little vials and stains everywhere much like the 2nd character here. I'm looking forward to shamelessly stealing more techniques.

I am eating humble pie right now, when I got this in my recommendations, I scoffed that people treated heroforge models with a sense of artistry because I always found the system limiting, but... Damn... I think I found a new corner of KZread to thoroughly explore.

I play one in a campaign with some friends but have never been able to find a good mini for it so I tried to make one on Heroforge using the base Lionfolk model. I feel like it's missing something, but don't know how to make it pop like you and the community do.

Yes! All of the ones that don't use glitches anyway. Floating bodies like the model by Second Breakfast or the floating chef's hat on my Orc may be problematic.

I need to learn how to heroforge from 2nd Breakfast, holy crap!!

And I thought I was good at making HeroForge models, turns out I'm an amateur in comparison 🤣

Every time these open up I do official announcement videos to let people know well ahead in time. After that you just follow the instructions and post your model with a description in the Discord! Rest assured it's quite hard to miss when it happens

How do you use the double modeling to make the boots thinner? I really hate the bulky boots they have given us.

Both. I'll definitely learn it and play with it, but I also know it will be Pro-only and a large portion of the community won't be able to touch it, so, a large part of my focus will remain on traditional models

With the whole “glitch” of using a second body to add details, does this actually work for ordering printed minis or do the printers get confused with the model?

They print fine. The problem is just that it'll cost as much as 2 models if they are clipped together. In addition to that- the 1st model would probably have issues since the floating hat is actually a glitch. So, that one, probably not

I kinda figured I wasn't gonna get chosen, still a great set of models though

That's mostly because Heroforge default body option are messed up. The first thing you should to it's increase the height slider to like 7' )or anyway near the “XL zone”) to have an average adult proportions. I remeber Derf himself doing a video about that, you should search in his archive.

So, how exactly do you do that trick that Second Breakfast uses for longer legs?

It's an old glitch called the 'Floating Body' glitch. There's a lot of APR links for it out there in the community. The legs are easy since with those it's just about chopping off a body, but you'll need to find someone who can give you actual legless floating body first. If you join my DIscord and ask around I'm sure someone in there can hand it to you

All the models are drawn with a spinning wheel, Derf doesn't select any of it, it's just a lottery

Edit: Okay, he completely lost me at the sixth model. Being "too true" to the model is something you don't want in a video where that is the damn point? Not to mention, it's complete BS.
