In reference to last episodes question about why cooldown reduction is so bad at lower percentages than higher, I will be explaining it in both short term and long term explanations. Long Term: So lets use some math to explain this so you can imagine it in reference to Vault Hunters and how it affects your gameplay. Imagine that the Spear Throw ability has a cooldown of one (1) second and we will try to throw it as many times as we can within a ten (10) second period with no cooldown reduction. Under this scenario, we can throw ten (10) Spears within 10 seconds with perfect timing (just assume we always have perfect timing for throws to allow for our theoretical maximum throws per each value of cooldown reduction). Now lets add a cumulative 10% (ten percent) cooldown reduction to our equipment and find out how many Spear Throw's we can do within 10 (ten) seconds. The math looks like this for 10% (ten percent): 1 (the base cooldown in time) * 0.9 (the remainder after reducing the cooldown reduction [10%] from the whole [100%] which is the base cooldown) = 0.9s (the time it takes to execute a Spear Throw after it has been thrown). Next is to calculate how many times we can execute Spear Throw in 10 (ten) seconds. This is actually extremely simple, we just have to divide the amount of time we are allowed by the amount of time it takes to make a single action, so 10s (ten seconds) / 0.9s (nine-tenths seconds) = 11.11 Spear Throws in 10 (ten) seconds. After this, we can easily calculate the effects of higher cooldown reductions and see how this is happening. Putting this into practice, we can find that 20% cooldown reduction forms these equations: 1s * 0.8 = 0.8s and 10s / 0.8s = 12.5 or rounded down to twelve (12) Spear Throws in ten (10) seconds with 20% (twenty percent) cooldown reduction. Short(er) Term: The reason why you can't tell the difference between a 10% and a 20% cooldown reduction when compared to a 85% to 90% increase in cooldown is easily understood when you make some comparisons between some obvious facts. If you take 10 seconds as our maximum time allowed to throw spears with the Spear Throw skill, then you look at the amount of throws that can fit in a single second if its 0.5s to throw a spear rather than 1s, you would see that its a difference of 10 throws compared to 20 throws. Here's a list for easier display of this data. CD | Spear Throws within 10s ____|___________________________ 0% | 10 (ten) throws 10% | 11.111 ~ 11 throws 20% | 12.5 ~ 12 throws 30% | 14.285 ~ 14 throws 40% | 16.666 ~ 16 throws 50% | 20 throws 60% | 25 throws 70% | 33.333 ~ 33 throws 75% | 40 throws 80% | 50 throws 85% | 66.666 ~ 66 throws 90% | 100 throws BTW I watched the video twice in the span of making this pointlessly long and detailed comment. I'm a bit late to watching this series because i only watch iskall when i'm currently into minecraft (and not on burnout), but i agree. The iskall/etho combo is great. A duo i never knew would work so well. It honestly kind of reminds me of the fun shit that etho would do with beef and pause back in the day.

I'll be honest, the behind the scenes have been my favorite thing to watch lately. the casual nature, joking back and fourth with friends. just takes me back to times when i was younger.

One cool trinket (may already exist) is one that prevents elytra collision damage. If it’s red, it would be compatible with wings, meaning that you don’t get any other trinkets, but if it’s blue, then you have to use an elytra, which reduces effectiveness later in the game It would be great for these fast paced, room-skipping vaults

It already exists but it also gives you spider wall climb so it's super annoying to use in vaults.

​@@beauregardfox200 i tried using it, because it was my only trinket and it would have been actually decently usefull at least in the early mid game, if the climbing thing was a toggleable or a hold button ability. As it is it screwed me over so often that i prefered running without trinkets :/

When I saw the video was out, I just sighed bc I knew Iskall finally opened the trinkests/artifacts.

Yes I have had the problem where the side panel would fall off sometimes. It was a case where the side panels were held on by a latch and it started wearing out eventually.

suggestion - hear me out: Goodberries. These could be hard to balance, but a not too rare, not too common item from living, called a goodberry. This will heal you for 1/2 a heart. This would give the gluttony charm more of a use, as the only point of it right now is to save half a second when eating kiwis, potions or other vault fruit (auto feeder on backpacks negates the need for normal food)

Love how Etho doesn’t really post videos of other peoples games but also improves them with ideas like TCG, DO2 and now VH. Hat’s off to Etho for not making videos so the OG gsts the props. As much as all want more Etho content we all understand why he doesn’t post it on his YT chanel. Just a Man who enjoys a game and doesn’t want to become even more famous. Seriously the one and truly OG of Minecraft who gives props to others whilst helping them make games bette. If you disagree then look back at TCG and DO2 and he hardly posted straight away and left posts to the livestreams of the original creator of the games.

Iskall what if you made an imprisoned mode for vault hunters where you spawn in an infinite vault and you have to progress by using your experience points and looting vault gear knowledge could be used for unlocking only things that could be helpful in the vault you could have certain base rooms and to get to the final boss you would have to collect affinity with each god kinda like an adventure mode like the old vault hunters the theme could change with each room too

Gotta say, I think I'm with Iskall on the Fortunate thing. Sure, Etho's 50 extra gems is significant, but I would hardly call it game breaking when they each got over 200 gems. With that said, I'm not sure I'd ever not take Fortunate myself, but that's just because of my personality (I like to maximize and hoard as many resources as possible). With that said, I've never played Vault Hunters myself (don't have a good setup for it in terms of hardware).

The asymmetry of those monuments drive me crazy lol

​@@ciankingston4555 it's not free. We have three people on our research team. The first is "full price," and each member after that is "half price" on the knowledge stars. For example, Create is six stars to unlock, so for three of us it was 12 (6+3+3) instead of 18. It's really nice, and you don't even have to all be online at the same time when using the stars. Saves on all that essence!

6:40 Can we still not take out the junk bin tier upgrade from the vault junkificator? Because of that, if you don't use your tier upgrades immediately and wait until you craft the highest upgrade first before start using it, you save 25% of all materials needed.

The best i got was an architect crystal with 5 mine rooms, 2 crystal caves, and 23x plentiful

If you multiply 100 x 25%= 25 so you lower you lucky hit lol so it should read x125%
