I think I've figured it out. They specifically chosen people to swap bases who know can improve each others base and then eventually swap back via another timed message. Mumbo and scar for example. Mumbo is gonna industrialize all of scars Redstone problems and scar is gonna beautify mumbos base even further. Another being Cleo and Keralis. Cleo is going to be able to bring even more life into Keralis's city with her armor stand magic and Keralis is going to make her base outstanding. That's what i think anyways

Yes, If... BIG IF, but hear me out. Same deal with the accounts, right, but it uses "energy credits." So you deposit a diamond, that's worth way more than depositing a bamboo chute. Each withdrawal costs a certain amount as well, so say, ten stacks of bamboo would be worth five energy, and a single diamond would be worth five energy. Deposit or withdrawal. Just a number, probably inaccurate. Energy would be stored in a chest system, just like the pacificos are, maybe even using the sunflower currency as well. So you deposit a double chest of iron blocks, and you're able to withdraw things others have deposited. Say for example wood. Each item/stack etc would have to be assigned an energy value, and each withdrawal would deduct that from your account, each deposit adds it. Now here's where it gets interesting. Let's assume we have it all figured out evenly and accurately. The first chest in the storage system would award 4x the energy (it's rare in the storage so it's worth more), second chest would be 2x third chest normal price, fourth would be worth half, etc. So you couldn't just deposit forty double chests of stone and walk away with a double chest of diamond blocks. Simalarly withdrawals would work the same way, so if there's fifty double chests of stone, it's cheap as heck, so you'll be able to take more per energy. Thusly farming rare items, or valuable items, OR highly used items (so the chests don't fill) would be worth more. For example spruce or dark oak would be worth more than say birch wood, as it wouldn't fill as fast and people would withdraw it. Now, I'm not even sure you could ever build this system, practically or otherwise, as it might be literally too big to render all at once... But it could work. The issue would be that people wouldn't even be required to use it, though. Who's gonna deposit say, diamonds when maybe a few more stacks of emeralds are worth just as much. Or flint, or string etc. It would be nearly impossible to fairly value everything in the game. Cactus dye for example, could be worth more than its ACTUALLY worth at first, simple because no one will want to craft it. You'd also need to account for things like pufferfish, cod etc... things that are easily obtained but often not stored. I don't think even mumbo could build auch a device in any reasonable amount of time, and it would take AGES to debate the energy costs and values of each item. People would rush farms for rarer or more valuable things (gunpowder, paper, iron, gold, prismarine etc), and in general I don't think anyone would have fun doing it. Also, you'd run into the problem of say, AFKing for deposits, while someone else wants to withdraw. Or two people wanting to deposit at one time, or withdraw at one time. It's an amazing idea, it's just horrifically impractical. I'd imagine even in creative it would take several DAYS to build and test etc.

My theory is that impulse created the HCBBS to steal mumbo's base. That's why he gave a shulker of g apples to mumbo to feed his base and also why he created a vault. He created the HCBBS and gave himself the paper w/ mumbo's name on. I don't rlly know that much about impulse, so correct me if I'm wrong, but that's my theory lol.

@@CraftxTD I'm pretty sure Scar would find something to add to Mumbo's base. Maybe he remakes the terraforming, or adds something like a crystal at the top.

This is genius, allowing scar to build up mumbo’s base, while allowing mumbo to redstone-ify scar’s base and sort everything out.

Now we know that it takes a "Mumbo Jumbo" to deal with the "Mother Chestmonster".

Mumbo didn't realise that his industrial base is now isn't owned by him anymore

Just a theory: Since literally every hermit has a problem with their base that they're too lazy to fix (i.e. The back of Grian's mansion, Scar's chest monster, etc.), this was to get other hermits to fix their problems. Eventually there will probably be another clock that will make the hermits swap bases back.

Maybe they will just trade around until everyone has their base fully terraformed, redstonified, decorated and populated by armour stands. By then 1.17 might be out and time to start a new season.

if we think about it, the swaps are perfect! mumbo can help scar with a storage system and scar can help mumbo with his terraforming outside his "new base". grian can help zedaph with more builds and zedaph can fill the mansion with redstone stuff. false can help the outside of tango's base cuz if we look at false's base, she does good yknow. then tango can help fill the cyberpunk city. keralis can build more buildings in the zoo while cleo can fill her now buildings with more life. impulse can help stress build more farms since she has been gone for a while, and stress can help with impulse's interior. (i havent watched the others so idk im sorry)

Just in case you didn’t notice mumbo was holding Redstone Redstone resources the day that the HCBBS went off and the date was built so therefore it was mumbo who made the HCBBS. You cannot fool me

Mumbo saying "This chest monster is even worse that I imagined!" was really ironic, when Scar has actually already cleaned up 80% of it

I saw it in docm's quest for sponges episode and I thought it looked different... so this is why, huh :) I cannot really say witch one looks worse. On one hand, there were more shulker boxes on the ground... but now it looks just boxes randomly placed ;)

I can see it now - Scar's ex-base with plenty of really cool, really practical and efficient upgrades, and Mumbo's ex-base with those extra details that take the lore of the whole thing to a whole new level of awesome. This is gonna be GOOD. 😁

I honestly think that Mumbo's new base is going to be the best on the server. You have the amazing looks from Scar and then tones of functionality/ redstone from Mumbo, just great

This showed up randomly on my recommended and I was so confused. But now, three weeks, and many perspectives later, I have returned with context.
