I have a feeling that I know exactly the type of SA Amy has. He/She knows (or thinks he knows) that she has a lot of disposable income and this SA is just milking Amy for as much as he can. Eventually one day she'll be offered her first B or K and I really hope it's the one she wants but I just have a bad feeling for her SA, and SAs who are like this. I have my own experience of this and I really hope this isn't the case, what is happening, but I suggest to Amy you tell your SA you want to make an appointment to specifically discuss regarding 'fulfilling your wish' (as Hermes refers to it) for a B/K and once you have this appointment explain that this is it, you're waiting for this item. And do 👏🏼not 👏🏼spend 👏🏼any 👏🏼more. All love 💕 PS: I want to come on the luxury live show!

I think how things happen to you has a lot to do with how you perceive it to be. I personally wouldn't make these assumptions without being in my shoes. Also, if I was offered a bag in a different combo from what I asked that I didn't end up liking anyway, I would just politely decline and keep waiting for the exact one I want. At these prices, it would be foolish not to do so. 😉

The cap looks fantastic. You are so lucky to have a head perfectly shaped for hats! I tried similar designs when they launched the Hamburg collection at Chanel a few years ago and they looked like sauce pans on my head! Congratulations on your picotin. I remember I did strongly recommend you to get one, months ago. I indeed think picotin and Kelly are the two Hermès bags that suit your aesthetics the best. The fact that you didn’t get the color you requested was actually a blessing in disguise. Black is always the perfect stepping stone to start a collection. Absolutely love the Touch version. I believe it will provide you the same feeling as your fine jewelry pieces, particularly your Love bangle: not a lot of people will notice the exotic leather parts as they are black on black, hence mostly you will be able to enjoy those subtle details to the fullest! That’s the quintessential Hermès philosophy, aka “Détails égoïstes ». Oh gosh, I badly want one now! Too bad they discontinued the très grand modèle!

Hi Amy! The Picotin is so beautiful. I think the exotic skin handles give the bag more structure. Interesting color black. As far as rain goes, do not let it get wet, a little sprinkle is ok just wipe dry as with all leathers. I live in Hawaii so it’s rare to have a down pour, but if it happened I protect my bag with my life😉

Congratulations Amy! I was able to get my first Hermes bag also last month form Waikiki boutique during my vacation. Also a picotin 18 but nata color. So the Samorga insert works well for the picotim? Doesn't distort the shape? The 7rp insert seems to taper but so expensive.

My Samorga organizer looks and feels perfect in my bag! I chose the raw edge because it would have less resistance than the folded edge and it molds to the sides of the bag so beautifully.

Congrats Amy! I love the Chanel bucket too. From what I’ve heard. Shiny croc/alligator is sensitive to moisture but the matte is pretty resilient. I wish they would just give us a clochette for the keys cu what even is that little key string, I always thought that was funny. I was always wanted to ask if I could order a clochette if I ever got a Picotin cuz that little string annoys me lol.

Is there any SA you could please recommend? I’ve been calling them since October. I’ve been going to the store as well and check it online but still no luck 😞

Even non-quota bags are very difficult to buy now. You will probably need to work with an SA for a while and establish your profile there. I didn't offered mine until 10 months into my regular visits. Good luck!

Oh wow - this is why I call it the Hermès Gamble, not Journey. 😆 I really like this combination, the palladium finish complements the sheen from the exotic handles and whilst it wasn’t what you’d originally hoped for, I think it suits you and your style very well. Maybe this one will work better for you than gold and the gold shade in something else? You’re right - it is elegant and also cool depending on what you wear it with. It’s a good choice for you and a beautiful bag. I personally would not risk travelling with it in case I got some jobsworth having a bad day who will make me leave it behind. 😬

i purchased my pink picotin preloved and I got it for a really good price because the previous owner spilled water on it and it has a little blister! so i think you should maybe try and avoid the water if possible! love the TOUCH handle ^_^
