My friend has this bag and had the same issue even when she had her items inside, so I'll give you the same suggestion I gave her, and it worked. The little inside pocket? Slip a small but weighty handheld mirror in to counterbalance the hardware. Boom. Della stays level. I hope it works for your bag, too!

Love the unboxing. Hat is a keeper because you can change twilly to match your outfit. The bag, if you're not 100% in love, that's too expensive to keep and regret. ✌️😁

💯 agree on functionality and if I may add unique look. I have original designs of DC mini size in gold colour with palladium hardware and I love this bag. In fact it’s my most used Hermes’ bag.

Love both items. I am sure you will use both.

Oxana, I do not have della cavalleria bag, so I can not comment about which bag is more practical. But to me Elan is more beautiful as normal Della. I wish you all the best and take the right decision for you. 🤗

I also have the original Della and don't think the elan version offers enough of a difference so if it were me, I might not keep it. If you are thinking to return it, please look at the receipt to see if it can be returned. I was in Paris a couple years back and my husband purchased a bolide for me which I didn't care for and they gave us so much grief on the return even though I returned it the very next day. It was a nightmare but we finally were able to do an exchange and I ended up with a Constance 24 which I love. Best of luck Oxana on the decision.

Happy V-Day and hope you are enjoying the trip. It's a stunning bag with great capacity and an adjustable strap which is a plus. But the real test is whether the bag still tilts forward once you put your items in it or does that weight then even it out and the tilt goes away. It if still hangs forward when its filled, not sure one could get used to that as it could prevent you from enjoying the bag. If it still happens when filled with your things, although its lovely, that tilt could be distracting, so then perhaps exchange it for something else.

Hi Oxana Hope you’re enjoying your Paris stay. IMO the bag is beautiful, and the price is good. Agree with others that returns/exchanges are frowned upon at Hermès Paris, so if you’re on the fence about it, this consideration might tip the balance. Good luck with your decision!

Happy belated Valentines Day! Just watching your video now so I’m sure you made your decision by now if leaving on Feb 15. It’s a lovely bag. I was reading up this bag a few days ago, lol! but it didn’t sound like you were in love with the bag enough to want to keep it. If you kept it and are still unsure, after some time you could always sell it as a last resort if you really are not happy. Good luck with the decision. Looking forward to hearing what you did. Saw the DC Elan pop up on the website in Noir with GHW a month or two ago. Stunning!! I’m trying to hold out for a Constance Elan (saw a pic recently, hoping it’s making a comeback!! 🤞🏼), but this would def be my second pick!! Does it lean forward even when you’re wearing it?

Oxana, I was influenced by you and bought regular DC mini in Tadelakt though, have not worn it yet, but tried and it is very comfortable. Elan I did not like so much because it lacks construction magic, it is much simpler in terms of details.

I love the new shape of this Della Elan, but it seems you really prefer the Della shape you already have. Also you mentioned the tilt, which would be a return for me. However, I did notice the comment right before me, saying that her friend placed a small weighty handheld mirror to counterbalance the hardware, that is wonderful that she found a solution for that, but I would find that a bit frustrating to have to put a counterbalance in my bag to make it hang properly, that is just me though. Unless you truly decide you love it in the next few hours, I would go with your intuition and return.

It’s a tough decision. Nowadays any bag offer from Hermes is like winning a lottery 🫣. So I am afraid, I regret my return later. But, I am not 💯 happy with the bag🥹

For me, The crucial decision point is whether the Elan can be worn nicely as an under arm bag. If it cannot, then there is no point to keep it. And yes it’s true, it’s very difficult to make a return or exchange at Hermes because they are so worried about fake goods. That’s why some people sell them on the resale market. I’m not suggesting you to do this, just saying.

@@OxanaLV I’m not sure but they will make it difficult for u to return or exchange unless it’s a defect of the bag. But if they accepted your return, they may not offer you any bag for some time. I’m not quite sure about this, but I felt they are out to “punish” returns. Otherwise, you won’t see so many people online asking what happens if they make a return.

Love the bag but the curved bottom construction reminds me of the old LV New Wave bag!

I don’t think you love it enough to keep it. You are not excited about like you usually are when you love a bag. You love the Dellia that you have already, this one will end up on the shelf. It’s too expensive to not be 100% sure about it. Have a great time in Paris!

It’s a hard NO. Don’t keep it Oxanna. If you’re not 1000% in love with it, then NO. It’s a very expensive purchase if you have to convince yourself to like it. I know exactly what you mean, buying ridiculously overpriced items just to be offer to buy a bag, it’s crazy. I’ve been there too! From now on it’s a no thank you! My Hermes SA told me he loves Sisley cosmetics but it’s too expensive all while trying to sell me a $8000 trinket tray for the bathroom!! Insane!

Crazy price for a non quota bags, that no one knows, especially that’s machine stitched like every other luxury brand, as many have said that only Birkins, Kelly’s and Constance’s are actually stitched by hand 😮 😮
