I love your abundant use of the flutes lower register. It is often neglected by other composers, but you write beautifuly for it!

as a flute player, it gets exhausting being in the high register. the middle and low sound so beautiful to me.

One of the first features I noticed about Maestro Beeftink’s music is the skilled and beautifully writing for flute low register. It is seldom used. And most orchestration texts counsel against writing in the first octave at all :-(

@@monteverdi1567 hello the maestro Balances with artistic valuation the register used it is never one register but to give colour he raises interest in higher registers. Combining the flutes he has a very beautiful effect...thank you maestro.

@@monteverdi1567 is that because we can get lost in low registers?? Because the flute has such a lovely tone but we easily get blasted over by others in an orchestra :(

This piece had me on the edge of my seat with excitement. You can genuinely feel the music. The triplets on measures 104 and 105 were just transcendent. The 8vas were just perfection and so clear and UGH SO BRILLIANT! My sincerest compliments to the Composer. Absolute perfection.

I think the hardest part is holding out the notes probably, specially the higher ones for me

Been relearning the piano for the past year. This song is so fun to play even without the flute. After my botched recital I never dreamed of ever touching a piano again. That was 5 years ago. This song spoke to me once i relearned how to read music. I had to learn how to play it. Thank you so much.

Zo'n 20 jaar geleden was "daybreak" het allereerste stuk dat ik leerde spelen op de piano. Mijn pianodocente bracht het mee tijdens mijn eerste les en ik speel het nog steeds!! Toen zij om gezondheidsredenen na twee jaar moest stoppen heb ik jammer genoeg nooit een vervanger gezocht. Sinds een tijd ben ik weer actiever aan het leren en ik heh nu mijn tanden in "summer" gezet. Fantastisch! Zodra ik dit onder de knie heb, ga ik het de komende 20 jaar spelen 😃

My 12 year old came across this song and when she plays i'm moved to tears. It has such emotion and such a beautiful piece that she loves playing with the Flute and fine tuning the Piano. I just started learning the flute (already playing piano for a long time) and this is going to be my first real “concert” song. Edit: Measure 80 and beyond it soo hard. I got pretty far though.

Gorgeous piece! I want to buy this music to play. I just bought a brand new Azumi flute and it favors lower register notes. I can’t wait to practice it using this piece.

An amazing piece, someday I am going to force a pianist to play Seasons with me (even though I doubt much forcing will be necessary once they hear the pieces). One question: My music school is hosting a video competition to do with our experiences as musicians in self isolation and since one of the silliest things I've done in this trying time is try to play from KZread videos, I was wondering if I could use a recording of me trying to play along with the video (and partly failing miserable). I understand if not.

each triplet is onw eigth note the way id count it ould be 1 e + but there are other ways
