Heritage Shunters Trust Gala, Rowsley, Peak Rail,8th September 2019
The Heritage Shunters Trust held there second gala /open weekend in September, giving brake van rides up the yard.
Based at Rowsley, they have a fascinating collection of the early BR shunters ( and a few industrial ones), including the now unique Andrew Barclay, class 06.
Also shots around the yard, including some of Pete Waterman's locos ,and the class 58, to be converted in to the Ivatt diesel LMS 10000.

Nice I never seen a class 07 shunter yet! I've seen a 03 at barrow in the early 1990s nice video of these powerful tiny little locomotives 😎
This was back in the good times.
I love how they're called "HST" :D A lovely variety of engines, small locos are so often the most interesting.

Haha, when I first saw HST on their jackets. I was looking for High Speed Trains. There were so many different types and classes of these small shunters, fascinating??
I love those british shunters, they are so many of them, my favorite is (and I don't know why) the D2587(hunslet class 05 shunters). Cheers from France!

Me too! As you say, there was such a variety! I love the class 05s too, maybe plenty visibility from the cab?

@@philclarke3203 yes they have a proper cab but also love the general look and I think they make a really good throaty noise when accelerating even tho the motor can be find in other shunters.

Yes, alot of engines have thier own unique sounds. I spent 30 years driving tractors and you could identify them by their sounds too.
