I had a Hydra and the same thing happened to me. Heretic fixed the knife and had it back to me in like 1 week. My dad has a Hydra and his is fine. Probably it depends.

650 for a faulty knife..if they'd actually test their stuff after assembly, stuff like this wouldn't happen.

I've got a Cleric 2, a Colossus, a Manticore X(3.75") and a Sleight Modular Punch Dagger, and they've all been spot on, excellent craftsmanship and quality. This is just unfortunate though Anthony Jr. will make it right if it's on him or his company! Stay Well👊 RP

@@ryancoons1744 i did not talk about otf's - try fixed blades, tops knives are awesome as well. in my state it's allowed to walk with a crossbow and a sword on the street and no one would dare to mind or give u a bad stare. austria is damn sweet :P i'm pretty fine with my A.M. custom otf, cobratec large for edc, the new benchmade claymore for walkin' the dogs and lionsteel m5 knives & tools exclusive in cpm 3v for the woods as well as bushcrafting

Dude I have to say you are really unlucky with a lot of microtech and heretic otfs. It’s a shame cause they usually are amazing.

Those knives are clones! If you paid that you got ripped off big time! The clones run about 10% of the price of the real ones in the US. Even so, it should work. Get some Rem oil, spray it in the opening until it oozes out. Cycle the action, wipe off the excess. It will start working unless it's broken. My $650 Microtech G10 Jade Combat Troodon was "sticky" and wouldn't deploy right out of the box. Fixed it with the oil method.

Lol 🤦🏻‍♂️ these knives by design are a friction based knife for tight tolerances And have to be broken in with some deployments and lubricated to not have a bunch of play in the blade after broken in the beginning tolerances have to be much tighter. Nothing wrong with the knives at all they should obviously deploy them a few times and lube the sliding surfaces before the knives get shipped out so they don’t get stupid videos like this out there lol but yeah all you need to do is deploy the knife however you can if you times and it well made all of the surfaces and you have a very tight precision fitment or you can take the cover off and pre-lube the touching points pretty simple stuff but apparently not for everybody… it will work great for you if you do the above mentioned stuff. Just deploy it a bunch of times and lube it and you will be good to go. Should you have to break in your knife when you get it? I personally like too it means it will last longer and be a tighter fitment for longer but some don’t understand simple mechanics and design so I guess it’s not for everyone…

Heretic is definitely NOT Microtech…I got some Heretics in my collection. Some are pretty Awesome and some not so much…like the Manticore E. The center grind line was off with the point and the knife is not always locking up on the out. In comparison to Microtech, they look very similar (obvious reasons) in design, but reliability is nowhere near his old mans work… Keep trying Heretic, mabey 1 day ull get to fill them big shoes even though I doubt it if quality control stays where it’s at and quantity over quantity continues.

Pull the blade all the way out to the very end by grabbing the tip. That will hopefully re set the blade spring. In my opinion, auto OTF blades aren't worth the money. The effort it takes to fire the blade is as much effort as it takes to open a manual knife. They are not good for military use. Not reliable and hard to clean and open. But... I have some of them because they are RAD.

I have one myself... if it's a fake, it's a very good fake.

Shouldn't buy an otf in the first place, especially one that costs so much. Only collectors spend that much money on a knife.
