these videos are fascinating and provide an excellent insight, thanks for sharing. Do your eyes remain locked on the bird as you pull the trigger or are you looking into the space ahead of it to " measure" the lead

Thanks. Just as I pull the trigger I try to keep my eyes focused on the space in front of the bird for fear of moving the gun

The Four Ashes that's interesting. The guy in some of the videos on the shotkam site - Gil Ash, he has quite a few vids on KZread too - says to have eyes fixed on the bird always, moving the gun ahead of the bird matching it's speed, so essentially you're looking across the gun at point of shot rather than at the bead or the space in beyond it. I like this concept but have yet to put it into practice. I need to try a Shotkam out!

I was wondering if #4 shots are a bit inadequate for pheasant

Great stuff. I'm finding Shotkam footage super hard to read as there is no perspective to judge where the shooter is on the target hit or miss. Some of the misses "look" right.

what cartridges do you use ?

I'm not /totally/ sure the shotkam is calibrated properly, on the first part of the video there's quite a few 'you' shoot 'high' and they fold nicely, while other you shoot 'where it should' and they don't. Also seems to me on the longer crossers on the second part, you do maintained lead, while it seems instructors tends to recommend that 'method' you mentioned in another video. Looks like a very nice day anyway!

I had re calibrated the ShotKam at 40 yards before this day though agree with your comment. It's something I need to double check. You are correct re the method, its something I was trying to do but slipped back to old habits

@Travis Thacker I use Imp Cyl and MOD and my hunting shell is BB steel 1400fps, put about 1000 shells through it and is killing more geese than ever!

Hi, I personally prefere maintained lead and it suits you as well it's what your used to I suppose that gets better results, I always look forward to your video's but I do prefere the go pro head cam footage best you can hear the beaters clattering and all the surround sounds of the day, just my opinion matey :)
