Honestly, healing in TWW beta feels kind of bad. They want to reduce burst damage and burst healing, but it only feels like they've reduced the healing aspect. There's a dot in mists that ticks for 1/3 of someone's health bar each tick, meanwhile a flash heal or healing surge will only heal for 5% of someone's health. I feel like the balance is way off at the moment.

Part of this is also due to the gear scaling being super low in testing so it probably wont be as bad as it feels atm

ikr holy priest does way better in M+ than holy paladin so i dont understand this list at all + envoker will get nerfed i did 2.3m heal crits with it >.

@@soulbound5732 Not going to deny those criticisms but Flame's list isn't throughput-based just like the tier lists for the other roles; Holy Paladin has historically always been a healer that scales very hard with secondaries and therefore is rarely in the top-half of healers at xpac launch (same way DK is never top in tanks at launch but is _always_ top at the end of an xpac). He likes how it plays, and if tuning is the only issue it is easily solved even if buffs-now equals nerfs-later when the haste kicks in. It's a much worse place to be in where a spec feels bad to play - especially if it is mechanically janky but numerically overtuned because it's just going to get nerfed anyway if it is over-performing, regardless of what cheese may be involved. In a beta environment, tuning is much less important than gameplay/mechanics because tuning is almost always performed between beta and live (or post-live even) so if numbers are low it's low-down on the list of issues in the context of a beta. He did say it was going to be a controversial placement :p

@@graysaltine6035 fair enough, i just hope they doing the scaling/balance right this time before launch i know its a big if prob not realistic but if envoker now is the only healer that has impact in healing numbers wise that it self is a issue. And i speak only for m+ environment with holy pala u barely feel u heal unless u have pressed buttons and u most likely are oom after, holy priest have bit more impact + great dps but dps i dont care as a healer but same as holy pala the healing is better but takes allot of pressing buttons. Misteaver and restro druid are less buttons with high input and shaman i dunno got way less buttons but u more reliable on the ancestors which barely proc in order to keep party alife. Till u play envoker and all these problems above is solved with 2/3 buttons sure the playstyle is Tricky but the input is so high is crazy.

Preservation being insane for this style of healing genuinely makes sense when you look at their kit, and you have to take that into account. Sustained healing from rdruid, disc priest, holy priest, etc, is all amazing (in terms of kit, not necessarily throughput for ones like hpal), but preservation is waaaay different of a playstyle. It plays more into being intelligent with how you spend your essence, and using your big mini cds in the form of Spiritbloom, Dream Breath, etc. When you are out of your big abilities, your sustain is somewhat lackluster without mana dumping. A slower paced healing environment would MASSIVELY benefit preservation due to their playstyle, since slower pace and their bigger healing cds will start to match up more. They can top health quickly, but considering they rely on things that are on 30 second cds, it's more rough in live, and way more befitting of the pace that beta brings.

The animation for the wildstalker thorns & symbiotic blooms alone makes it insanely fun, personally I would have put resto druid in S tier after having played the beta. While Pres evokers have more through put on burst healing for sure, over all they have way fewer tools to handle chaotic situations than resto & resto pre playing is an asset once you figure it out.

Looking at the tierlist it's actually sad how few healing specs are in game. Need several more I think

I've been having the best time on my evoker lately, and I hope it stays pretty decent for TWW. It's really fun leveling one in Remix, too, give it a try if you haven't!

These tiers lists need to use the tiers more as putting classes infront of eachother but all in 2 tiers doesnt make much sense. One is better, one is worse, 1 is A 1 is B.

I love Evo heal. But in the Beta the Addon „Clique“ didnt work. So I cant heal @ Moment because I Need this addon

After a lot of keys in beta with all healers, Evoker and Mistweaver felt best for me. No problems healing keys at all, where I sometimes struggled a little bit with others healers. But that’s just for me ☺️

I have always been a dps. I'm a fire mage main and a marksmanship hunter alt. I'm willing to change roles. I don't really feel confident enough to tank, so I'll try to be a healer in this expansion. Mistweaver monk is my pick

I haven't watched the video yet, but I'm just gonna guess that the best healer in TWW will be mage.

one thing i would like to know for a tier list is utility :D how are the pros and cons for healers.. affix and sort :D and for dps too :D I am more support player :D

I main monk for S4 and had a lot of fun mastering fistweaving. It took me a while to get a hang of it but in the end I managed to reach 3k io. However while I had a lot of fun, being a melee healer is a big disadvantage. You can technically heal at range but you lose so much of your toolkit by doing so it doesn't feel very good. Blizzard imo should give mistweaver more range for their abilities to help mitigate this or stop designing most encounters to be an anti-meleefest.

Pretty much... Archon holy priest is actually blasting dmg and healing in M+ like crazy, you don't even have to do anything Halo in a pack of mobs does insane dmg all alone and you only cast it once. Once a friend said to me I would try Holy but thats for girls lmao.. People is stupid when talking about holy priest

Im a 3k io resto shaman & 3k io disc priest and im sticking to disc next expansion... Enjoying the higher complexity + resto shaman has turned to "chain heal only button" Farseer is AWFUL in terms of fun, needs a lot of work, totemic is 10/10 though Oracle is............ unusable, no one will ever take that on either priest spec - they should make it so you can cycle through all 4 premonitions instantly without cooldowns inbetween... and THEN it goes on a 1 min cooldown, then maybe? idk

The tier list is just a mcguffan. Content creators use that format because people click on it & it's good for the algo. What matters is the actual words he says, not the tier list.

They are doing a tier list on the fun of the spec. Not the strength/healing output etc. I love these lists of how fun a spec is, helps a lot more at deciding what to play, as compared to tier lists showing what is strong at the start of the xpac.
