Well, he probably wouldn't win. Defamation is a false statement meant to cause harm to someone's business or reputation. Slander is when it is spoken, libel is when it is written. Both fall under the umbrella of defamation. That said, in the United States, we have the freedom of speech under the first amendment. That includes lies. Lies are legal. (Except for specific circumstances) For trump to win, he would have to prove that these remarks directly led to financial or personal harm. That is insanely difficult, as any defense would be able to point that harm to another cause. Or say that even without the lies his character would still be the same, and people would have the same reaction. Defamation has always been notoriously difficult to actually win. Nick sandman had a good case, because it was clear that if he weren't on CNN, nothing bad would have happened. His problems were a direct result of them mischaracterizing him.

Proof needed would be: lost income (past and future) lost earning capacity lost employment benefits medical bills for treatment for mental anguish (past and future), and pain and suffering (like mental anguish, emotional distress, loss of standing in the community, loss of enjoyment of life, anxiety, and sleep loss). And all this would be in Federal Civil Court

Reason: Trump is the first presidential nominee that talked incessantly about outsourcing of jobs and manufacturing with free trade agreements since Ross Perot in 1992 My life has been turned inside out since 2002 by this outsourcing even having to train foreigners to take my job .. I’ve had to be a contractor now for 22 years straight and had to live in 10 states to have these temporary jobs in my profession .. my software engineering job went to India . Now in aerospace as it is somewhat export controlled

Because trump probably wouldn't win. Defamation is a false statement meant to cause harm to someone's business or reputation. Slander is when it is spoken, libel is when it is written. Both fall under the umbrella of defamation. That said, in the United States, we have the freedom of speech under the first amendment. That includes lies. Lies are legal. (Except for specific circumstances) For trump to win, he would have to prove that these remarks directly led to financial or personal harm. That is insanely difficult, as any defense would be able to point that harm to another cause. Or say that even without the lies his character would still be the same, and people would have the same reaction. Defamation has always been notoriously difficult to actually win. Nick sandman had a good case, because it was clear that if he weren't on CNN, nothing bad would have happened. His problems were a direct result of them mischaracterizing him.

The difference between the two; Trump tells you what he will do to fix problems. Biden is telling you how great he was in the past (a bunch of lies) and how bad orange man was in the past. One is living in the past and the other is working for the future, I know which I would rather have.

"Freedom of speech" allows you to lie -- but 300 years ago, people put conscious thought into what they were told and decided for themselves what is real or not... There's a large block of 'sheeple' (more recently identified as 'NPCs' incapable of conscious thought) who just accept what they are told and do not challenge the information provided to them. No critical thinking skills means people don't think and repeat what they hear.

I am starting to feel that the reason that "the Cartels" are allowed to exist is down to the fact that they are unofficially representive of the leadership of the Democratic Party.. (B. Sanders.. Warren, etc). I mean if you really think about it (as I see it anyways, for what its worth) it makes perfect sense. Nancy for example needs poor, uneducated illegals to pick her crops right.. so she gets on the phone and calls her partners in whatever Cartel and before you know it they round up "a caravan" of healthy, strong, (but mostly just really poor) dudes and then they, with ruthless efficiency, march these folks up to, and the over the border. The Dems haven't changed one bit since the days when slavery "was" offically normal. As per usual they have just changed how the issue is framed. No one really seems to know (if fact no one seems that interested or concerned to investigate where exactly all these people end up once the trip is over.) Just business as usual in the USA. Officially the Republicans complain (but only on T.V. where they can portray themselves as the more moral of the two parties) but its as much an act as AOC crying outside a migrate center on the border while Trump was president. I don't for a second believe that the "border crises" isn't a well oiled machine that is currently facilitating the largest Human Trafficking Operation in human existence. There are many obvious reasons why both parties (and therefore the Uni-Party) would need vast amounts of new and additional "slaves". The first thing that comes to mind is the one thing the USA prides itself on.. WAR.. I mean... considering that the US feels threated by China.. if they were to go to war ( either directly or by proxy) in the eyes of the Washington Pigs, I can totally see how they would be able to justify sending say 100k ignorant, poor {illegal which is just a modern term that replaced the word that they formally used to refer to as slavery" off to fight and die over who gets to own which patch of the world "they" decided was worth preforming a mass human sacrifice for (on that particular day). The more I think about it the more it seems obvious that the US is perhaps the most evil enemy the human race has and ever will face.
